Patrick said, "I'll submit the matter of building more housing to Tranquillien. Keep making alchemical potions, and set a time to put them on sale together. When they're sold, engrave the Sunfury Spire's emblem on the bottles to make them our branded products."
"As you command..." Quelrintis and the others accepted their orders and left.
Development at the Sun Temple had begun to get on track. All that remained was to exercise a little control over its direction and pace. The four had profited considerably from their alchemical products and were highly enthusiastic about their work at the Mage Tower, so Patrick had no need to micromanage them.
Profit and interest were always the greatest sources of motivation, bar none!!!
Once the Sunfury Spire's specialty alchemical potions gained a market on the northern continent, their sales would no longer be confined to the Kingdom of Quel'Thalas but would enter the human markets of Lordaeron. The elf merchants could easily fly the banner of the high elf kingdom to attract more human buyers.
It was foreseeable that Quelrintis, Idonis, and the other two would make a fortune, while the Sunfury Spire would build up substantial financial reserves.
At the same time, he would establish extensive herb-growing plots at the former troll stronghold of Zeb'Watha. The herbs could supply his own needs directly, and having Quelrintis, Idonis, and the others process them for resale would yield far more profit than selling the raw materials.
While he was thinking about how to develop the Life Forest, Alleria arrived at the Sun Temple.
As marshal of the Farstriders, commanding the defenses of all Eversong Woods as well as every unit of the Ranger Forces in Silvermoon City, Alleria was busy with official duties and rarely visited the Ghostlands.
Alleria did not wait on the first floor. Instead, she said she had urgent business with Patrick and went straight to the fifth-floor office.
"Your arcane energy tastes much fresher now, pure and refined. You really are a diligent mage." The female elf licked her lips as though savoring something delicious, her expression relaxed.
Alleria walked straight to the sofa and sat down, keeping her knees together while gathering the hem of her short skirt inward with both hands to prevent unsightly creases from sitting.
The members of the Windrunner family had all received a good education in deportment. Their bearing was dignified, their movements composed and elegant, imbued with their family's refinement.
As usual, the female elf wore a green ranger outfit and cloak, with the Windrunner family emblem embroidered on the chest and the front of her fitted waist. Her jade-green skirt rested quietly over her legs, and her shoulder-length golden hair hung beside her temples.
Her sapphire eyes lingered on him. Her slender, jade-like fingers were as delicate as spring onion shoots; a ranger's life had left no marks on them. Every frown and smile, every movement, every lovely expression touched the heart and stirred the senses...
Patrick felt his heart beating faster than it ever had before, and the arcane energy in the air rippled.
Patrick quietly prepared a cup of Peacebloom tea for the female elf to ease the fatigue of her journey.
Alleria gave a faint smile, raised the cup, and took a small sip, leaving a vivid lip print on its rim. Then she said, "Construction has already begun on the base at Zeb'Watha. A female elf named Nasalan Cabrolon came a while ago to survey the terrain and surroundings. She was preparing to examine the Life Forest's environment to draw up a plan for growing herbs."
"My father, Phil-Cabrolon, sent her. Nasalan Cabrolon is my elder brother's wife. She studied under the senior Botanist Frewen and is quite accomplished in herbalism." Patrick explained his sister-in-law's identity to Alleria.
Alleria said, "Yes, all the planting land has been surveyed and planned out. Once the stronghold is built and the Ranger Forces move in, reclamation can begin. The Council places great importance on this newly acquired land and has agreed to increase the ranger garrison."
Patrick said with delighted surprise, "We can start that soon? That's faster than I expected. I've already put the alchemical potion formulas into production. If the Life Forest can produce enough herbs,
with a sufficient supply of raw materials, our output of alchemical potions will increase considerably." It was quite a surprise that the undeveloped land in the Life Forest could be put into production so soon. Patrick had originally thought the Council would drag things out for a year or two. He truly could not think highly of its internal efficiency.
"The Council acted unbelievably quickly this time," Alleria replied mildly.
Patrick seemed to sense something and asked casually, "Did you come because of the trolls?"
"You're only half right. Every year, the trolls begin gathering large quantities of food toward the year's end, so that's when they're most active and when the front-line defenses face their heaviest duties. At the same time, the Farstrider troops from Eversong Woods will come to the Ghostlands for transfers and garrison rotations, strengthening the defenses to prevent a large-scale troll invasion. Sylvanas should be here soon. She needs to discuss the rotations and troop changes with me."
Indeed, the trolls had no crop cultivation and could not obtain food by growing plants. Their main food sources were hunting and gathering wild fruit, and food shortages were also a reason their population grew slowly.
The trolls belonged to a primitive nomadic civilization, without a stable agricultural foundation to supply food, which could not ensure steady population growth. They also retained many backward customs, and their level of productivity was low.
Patrick poured himself a cup of Peacebloom tea, and Quelrintis also brought several servings of finely made pastries for Alleria to enjoy.
Before long, Quelrintis sent Patrick a direct voice transmission: Sylvanas had arrived as well.
At this time, Sylvanas was still full of vitality, vigorous and spirited, a capable ranger-general with a valiant bearing.
Sylvanas dressed much like Alleria, in virtually the same style. The two female elves also looked rather alike, and Patrick really had some difficulty telling them apart.
However, Sylvanas's cloak and armor differed somewhat from Alleria's. Her protective gear was more aesthetically pleasing, and her ranger cloak covered only part of her, leaving large expanses of fair skin exposed. Her skin was smooth and soft as cream, supple and moist, faintly radiating a pure white glow.
Beneath the ranger cloak, her curves were full and firm. Patrick inadvertently took another look.
The two female elves were very close. Sylvanas and Alleria both held important positions and had little time to see each other during the year. They whispered intimately to one another, and Sylvanas occasionally turned to glance at Patrick. Seeing this, Patrick rose and returned to his study, leaving Sylvanas and Alleria's time together as sisters undisturbed.
Thank you all for your support! Thank you, everyone, and I hope you'll keep supporting me. (`?ω??)
