The bloody battle had begun. Taking advantage of the terrain, the Silver Hand's troops only needed to hold every road leading into the chapel and prevent the undead from entering its grounds.

The eruption of Holy Light would not halt the Scourge's advance. These mindless undead obeyed only the commands of the higher-ranking Scourge; other matters were not something those skeletons and zombies considered.

Hammer of Justice, Judgement, Consecration... Holy Light abilities fell upon the Scourge in a dazzling barrage, but even this could not stop their advance.

"We can't let them enter the chapel grounds! There are too many enemies. The terrain here is narrow-it's the best place for us to defend!" Darion chopped off a zombie's head and shouted to the soldiers behind him.

If the front line fell and allowed these undead into the chapel grounds, there was no telling what would happen.

A young Paladin smashed a skeleton's skull with his enormous Holy Light Warhammer, then swung it back to help a teammate knock down a zombie preparing a sneak attack.

Before he could strike again, fatigue forced him to take a few extra breaths, and a piercing pain shot through his back. The skeleton soldier's longsword was covered in blood. Enduring the agony, the Paladin immediately killed the undead behind him with Hammer of Justice. Although the Priests' healing quickly followed, the pain and numbness of the wound, along with the exhaustion in his muscles, could not be dispelled so quickly.

This was only the tip of the iceberg. In battle against the undead, fatigue was one of the deadly factors. The undead did not need rest. Once someone surrounded by endless undead realized they were tired, their life had begun its countdown.

Those low-ranking skeletons and Ghouls were no match for a well-trained Paladin.
