Energy gathered frantically in Kil'jaeden's hands. The Sunwell lay directly beneath the great demon, making it effortless for her to gather energy.
Whoever the enemy was, the moment they attacked was also the moment they left themselves most exposed. As the fire elements in the great demon's hands grew denser, Patrick instantly sent a magical message to Saragoss, Kael'thas, and Illidan.
"Now."
In an instant, Illidan transformed into his great demon form, frantically gathering fel in his hands. An enormous sphere of fel flew straight toward the Sunwell beneath Kil'jaeden.
The blue dragon Saragoss did the same, returning to his true form and drawing a deep breath. A powerful blast of blue dragon frost rushed straight toward the Sunwell.
Kael'thas and Patrick were both Arcane spellcasters, already thoroughly proficient in magic that shattered space and detonated energy. All their spells had a single target: the Sunwell.
Just as the four spheres of energy were about to reach the Sunwell, a fel shield suddenly appeared in the air. It forcibly blocked the all-out attacks of Patrick, Saragoss, Illidan, and Kael'thas, preventing the Sunwell from being detonated.
"How laughable. Did you think these crude tricks of yours could threaten the leader of the Burning Legion?" Kil'jaeden was utterly confident. The Doom Meteorite in his hands had already taken shape. "Now, you shall be judged by the flames of doom."
The Doom Meteorite came crashing down. Even a powerhouse like Kil'jaeden, who could destroy a world in an instant, needed time to cast this spell; its power spoke for itself. The fire elements had driven every other element out of the hall, leaving the others unable even to use their abilities.
The Doom Meteorite's target was unquestionably Patrick. In Kil'jaeden's eyes, this little fellow who knew him so well had to die.
