Malfurion and Tyrande were both stunned. Standing before them was a High Elf who had helped them escape their predicament.
Malfurion rejected the arcane. Because of this issue, the fledgling Druid Regime had exiled the Highborne who used arcane energy thousands of years ago. Led by Dath'Remar Sunstrider, the Highborne had been forced to cross the Great Sea eastward without any preparation.
Malfurion had never been more grateful for the arcane than at that moment, when it had blocked the enemy's attack for him in an emergency.
"How could a High Elf come to the Emerald Dream?" Tyrande was deeply shocked. As far as she knew, no High Elf knew how to enter the Emerald Dream, nor were there any apprentices studying to become druids among them. They cared only about the arcane.
"I only came to help you deal with the Lord of the Nightmare." Patrick glanced at Xavius out of the corner of his eye. "He wants to merge the Emerald Dream with the real world and corrupt the entire world."
"You alone?" Xavius shook with laughter, as though he had heard an enormous joke. "Once I control your soul, I hope you can keep being this arrogant."
The hideous giant tree shuddered rapidly all over, its leaves and branches growing faster. Hidden beneath the branches were tentacles like those of the Old Gods. Green mist enveloped them, obscuring them from view. Xavius wanted to repeat his old trick and deliver a fatal blow to Patrick with branches flying at high speed.
Patrick did not even lift his eyelids. Bigby's Crushing Hand lifted Malfurion and Tyrande. "That didn't hurt either of you just now, did it?"
"Watch out." Malfurion had fought Xavius in the Emerald Dream for so long. How could he not know how formidable Xavius was?
