"Are you really going to face Deathwing alone?" Back aboard the Corona-class aircraft carrier, Kael'thas asked again.
"That's a minor matter." Patrick nodded. "Besides, I really do need to reassess the dragonflights' strength, especially the red dragons."
"You want to move against the red dragons?" Illidan abruptly raised his head.
"No." Patrick looked into the distance. "Just a simple assessment, to guard against the red dragons turning against us someday."
Patrick could spend more than a decade planting insiders in Dalaran, have Zendarri subvert Dalaran, and ultimately wipe out the entire Kirin Tor in one stroke. He could even join forces with several powers and make the entire continent act according to his schemes, causing Kil'jaeden's invasion to fail and his forces to suffer defeat at the Sunwell.
Given Patrick's way of doing things, not only would Kael'thas refuse to believe that he had no designs on the red dragons, but even Alleria would not believe it.
"Actually, I really have nothing against the red dragons. If they weren't so close to Dalaran, I wouldn't bother with them."
"And precisely because they're so close to Dalaran, and Krasus himself was once a member of the Kirin Tor, it's perfectly normal for them to be hostile toward me."
"Then how do you plan to deal with Deathwing?" Illidan asked with interest. In truth, Illidan had always been curious about the limits of Patrick's strength.
"I don't know." Patrick shook his head. "I'm still not clear on Deathwing's abilities, and I don't know what trump cards he has, either. So we can only see how things unfold."
Kael'thas also knew there was nothing to be done about that, so he turned to Sailervor and ordered, "Notify Verlin Sunstrider. Have all the fleets prepare to attack."
As for the trap Krasus had laid,
