Tang San and Qian Daoliu staged a conflict with Worship Hall to lure the traitor and the two empires into acting. Convinced the Pope Faction and Worship Hall had split, Xue Beng ordered contact with the Star Luo Empire and preparations for an all-out offensive.
As Heaven Dou and Star Luo launched a million-strong assault on the Spirit Hall Empire, Bibi Dong prepared the empire’s forces while Tang San decided to join the fighting. Tang San set out for the battlefield to advance his stalled Sea God Trial and pursue the Asura God Trial’s next challenge.
Tang San and his companions watched the Heaven Dou Empire's immense army march toward the Spirit Hall Empire, while Tang San regarded it as no threat. He let Dugu Bo descend to speak with the Heaven Dou forces and reassured Yue Guan that Dugu Bo would be safe.
Dugu Bo visited Xue Beng to end his ties with Heaven Dou and remind him that Tang San’s promise to Xue Ye still stood. When Yu Tianheng and Yu Qing attacked Dugu Bo, Tang San arrived to protect him.
Tang San arrived to rescue Dugu Bo and overwhelmed Heaven Dou's forces, killing Yu Qing with one strike and cornering Yu Tianheng. Yu Tianheng begged for his life and offered to reveal a traitor inside the Spirit Hall Empire, but Tang San rejected the offer and lowered his sword.
Tang San killed Yu Tianheng during his rescue of Dugu Bo, then escaped the million-strong Heaven Dou army with Yue Guan and Gui Mei. He planned to stop Heaven Dou’s advance at Jialing Pass, where he had gathered troops and summoned the four single-attribute clans.
At Jialing Pass, Tang San prepared to crush Heaven Dou’s approaching army while using hidden weapons and poison to complete his God’s Trial. Ning Fengzhi proposed a surprise attack, and the chapter ended with Tang San watching Heaven Dou’s forces arrive.
Tang San sent Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo to attack the Heaven Dou Empire’s million-strong army, where the two Titled Douluo faced a barrage of combined attacks. As they began to tire, Ning Fengzhi arrived with his seven-story pagoda, leaving Bai Baoshan alarmed.
Sword Douluo killed Bai Baoshan as the Spirit Hall Empire’s forces overwhelmed the Heaven Dou army at Jialing Pass. Xue Beng ordered a retreat, but Tang San appeared with Ge Long’s severed head, confirming Heaven Dou’s defeat.
Tang San defeated Xue Beng’s army at Jialing Pass but spared the soldiers and released Xue Beng, completing his Third Sea God Trial. He then noticed gray smoke over the battlefield that matched the smoke in the ruined Divine Realm, leaving him to question its connection to death and the gods’ trials.
Tang San rewarded Ning Fengzhi and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect after the battle, then learned that Bibi Dong had defeated the Star Luo Empire. In the Heaven Dou capital, Dai Mubai refused to surrender and confronted Yu Xiaogang before Tang San arrived at their hiding place.
Tang San confronted Dai Mubai and the others, while Zhu Zhuqing pleaded for their lives and Xue Beng revealed that he had led Tang San to them. The chapter left Dai Mubai transformed and ready to fight as Tang San advanced with the Asura Sacred Sword.
Dai Mubai sacrificed himself to summon the Rakshasa God, who fought Tang San and killed Yu Xiaogang to absorb the Gray Qi from his corpse. Tang San’s life-domain attacks initially weakened the Rakshasa God, but the Gray Qi then overwhelmed them, and the chapter ended with the Rakshasa God’s gray sword piercing Tang San’s Blue Silver Emperor Gold Shield.
Tang San killed the Rakshasa God after Yue Guan and Gui Mei restrained him with the Two Extremes Stillness Domain. The Rakshasa God’s body was destroyed, and Tang San approached the injured Zhu Zhuqing and Ma Hongjun.
Tang San spared Zhu Zhuqing and Ma Hongjun and sent them back to Spirit Hall, while he considered the dangerous gray mist and the conflicting objectives of his divine trials. Completing the Fourth Asura God Trial raised him to Level 91 and granted him a god-level Soul Ring with two powerful Rakshasa Soul Skills.
Tang San gave Dugu Bo the Poison God's inheritance, then passed Yue Guan the Flower God's power. Yue Guan completed a trial reward and broke through to Level 99, while Dugu Bo resolved to hurry through his own trials.
Tang San returned to Spirit City after Yue Guan and Dugu Bo received God's Trials, then learned that his Sea God Trial had advanced and Hu Liena was undertaking two trials of her own. When Hu Liena described factions resisting the Spirit Hall Empire's expansion, Tang San saw a chance to complete the Fourth Asura God Trial and agreed to go with her.
Tang San decided to take charge of confronting Four Elements Academy after learning its people might have obtained God's Trials, and he led Dugu Bo and others toward the academy. Outside its former grounds, Feng Xiaotian refused the Spirit Hall Empire’s demand to join, and Huyan Zhen prepared to fight him.
