Bai Hualei gave a few scornful laughs and roared at Lu Ren, "Lu Ren, who do you think you are? You've only been in the sect for a few decades. What gives you the right to fight me for the sect leader's seat? What right?"

Lu Ren sneered and raised his sword to strike.

"If we don't even dare execute a traitor, how can the Gui Xu Sect maintain its standing on Guixu Island?"
Lu Ren's commanding voice rang out as he swung his sword viciously at Bai Hualei.

Bai Hualei's pupils contracted, and he cried out in terror.

Sword light swept across Bai Hualei, cutting him down and snuffing out every trace of life.
The Gui Xu Sect disciples looked at his corpse and shook their heads. It hardly seemed real.
Bai Hualei had been the foremost of the Ten Great Divine Ancestors, a prodigy who had dazzled an entire era.
