Homelander's fist slammed into Lucian's chest.
Bang!
Lucian flew backward, smashing through two boulders in succession. After his feet hit the ground, he plowed several dozen meters through the earth before finally forcing himself to a stop.
"Gah!"
He spat a mouthful of blood onto the ground.
His breastbone hadn't broken.
Carbon skin, partial metallization, his cloak of flames, and his suit's impact absorption-those layers of protection had blocked most of the force, but the remaining impact had still injured his internal organs.
This was Homelander's strength.
In a direct clash, he was still at a disadvantage.
Still, it wasn't much of a problem.
Super healing had already begun working, rapidly repairing his damaged organs. As long as Homelander couldn't shatter his head with one punch or destroy most of his body outright, injuries like these weren't enough to matter.
Lucian raised a hand and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
"That punch had some power behind it."
On the other side, Homelander wasn't faring well either.
The searing white beam had blasted him several dozen meters away, and a shrill ringing still lingered in his super hearing. His cheeks stung from the scorching heat, and great swaths of white glare filled his vision. He couldn't even see where Lucian was standing.
Damn it!
"My eyes!"
Homelander covered his eyes and roared furiously.
"What the fuck did you do to me?"
"Never seen a flashbang before?"
Homelander lowered his hands. His eyes still couldn't see properly, but the sharp rush of something cutting through the air was already closing in from ahead.
Lucian had charged over.
He pushed his super speed to its limit in an instant, aiming his fist straight at Homelander's chin.
Did he think I couldn't fight just because I couldn't see?
"You underestimate
