The stronger an ability was, the more energy points it would definitely require. It might even increase exponentially!
Never mind Doctor Strange and the Ancient One-even copying the power of some random Inhuman would probably cost enough energy to give Qi Jun a serious headache.
So, after going around in circles, it all came back to an obstacle he simply could not get around!
The Infinity Stones!
How many energy points could he get from scavenging corpses?
Even if there were enough corpses for Qi Jun to scavenge, could he keep up?
After all, once someone died, their life energy would drain away completely after an hour.
To Qi Jun, corpses without life energy were nothing but utterly useless, extremely disgusting trash!
"Looks like I'll have to wreck the plot of Iron Man 2 myself!"
"Before I start plotting to get the Infinity Stones, the First-Generation Arc Reactor should be enough to sustain me for a while!"
Qi Jun muttered those two sentences quietly.
Chapter 15: Preparing to scheme in secret?
"There's no way to get at Tony Stark with S.H.I.E.L.D. and the military protecting him from every angle."
"But I could absolutely kidnap Ivan Vanko and brainwash him into making an endless supply of First-Generation Arc Reactors!"
In fact, Qi Jun really wanted to kidnap Tony Stark and have him make brand-new Arc Reactors for him every day.
Better yet, he could make Arc Reactors every day using Krypton, an isotope of the Tesseract's casing. Now that stuff was truly amazing.
Qi Jun even suspected that Krypton, an isotope of the Tesseract's casing, might already have gained the ability to link to the Space Stone. Otherwise, how could it have such incredible endurance?
Qi Jun even wondered whether, as long as it was not subjected to excessive power demands all at once, a Krypton Arc Reactor could run forever with the Space Stone secretly supplying energy.
Although the First-Generation Arc Reactor made with palladium still has a limited amount of energy, it's definitely enough for the early stages of development!
At the very least, compared to scavenging corpses, the First-Generation Arc Reactor is ten or a hundred times better!
Maybe I could infiltrate Hydra, too?
They're going to get fucked over by S.H.I.E.L.D. in the end anyway. Even if S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't fuck them over, the Avengers will pick up where they left off. Those resources might as well go toward my upgrades.
And then there's Wakanda. Apparently, they've developed vibranium into a new energy source? Maybe I could try absorbing some of that, too?
Oh, right, the Inhumans' temple-the Kree underground city. Apparently, there are Terrigen Crystals in there, too? Could I absorb those?
The God of Hammers' hammer was supposedly forged from a dying star? Tsk, tsk, a star. How much energy would that be? I just wonder whether I could absorb it directly.
Hehehe~~~ If I absorbed Mjolnir, I wonder whether the God of Hammers could still evolve once more?
I just wonder whether Odin's divine consciousness is actually inside the hammer.
Staring unfocused out the window, Qi Jun silently muttered and schemed to himself.
