"Huh?"
"Nothing?"
"What was that address again?"
"Think, think, think harder..."
"Right, Westchester County, New York."
"The exact address?"
"Wow, I really have no fucking idea!"
Qi Jun scratched his head again, looking slightly embarrassed.
"Forget it. What am I going to find searching like this?"
"I'd be better off searching directly for names and superpowered incidents."
"As long as mutants exist, there have to be traces that can't be covered up!"
"'Professor X,' Charles Francis Xavier. Nothing?"
"'Magneto,' real name-old Max Eisenhardt. Nothing? Alias-Erik Lehnsherr. Nothing either?"
"'Wolverine,' Logan Howlett. Nothing?"
"'Storm,' Ororo Munroe. Nothing?"
"'Deadpool,' Wade Wilson. Nothing either?"
"'Mystique,' Raven Darkholme. Nothing either?"
"Then what about the Sentinel Program? Still nothing?"
"Then what about William Stryker? Nothing either?"
"One last one, Trask Industries?"
"Still nothing?"
"None of these exist? Does that mean this world isn't the Marvel Comics Universe?"
Rubbing his temples, Qi Jun looked considerably more relaxed.
Compared to the Marvel Comics Universe, the Marvel Cinematic Universe was much safer.
[This book won't feature mutants. It's purely the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and this chapter serves as an explanation. It's a free chapter, so don't mind a little padding~]
["X-Men: Dark Phoenix" comes out in a couple of days. Judging by the trailer, the effects look good. I'm planning to go see it. Anyone want to come along? [Smile]]
Chapter 16: Huh? I'm Superman?
After confirming that he was probably in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Qi Jun felt mostly reassured.
At least he didn't have to worry that one day, without even needing the Snap, someone would simply have a passing thought, and then he'd die for no apparent reason. 0.0
