Body Flicker Shisui's Test

Deep in the woods at Naka Shrine.

Uchiha Rìtiān followed Itachi through turn after turn until they reached a clearing.

A young man stood there with his back to them, sunlight gilding his figure.

Hearing their footsteps, the young man turned around, revealing a warm smile.

"You must be Uchiha Rìtiān? Hello, I'm Shisui Uchiha."

Uchiha Rìtiān studied Shisui and nodded inwardly.

He really is just like the stories say-gentle, sunny, and approachable.

And... so handsome!

"Hi, Shisui!" Uchiha Rìtiān flashed a radiant smile. "Itachi talks about you all the time!"

Shisui smiled. "Oh? What does Itachi say about me?"

"Itachi says you're the greatest genius in the Uchiha Clan, and your Body Flicker Technique is unbeatable!" Uchiha Rìtiān said with an adoring expression.

Beside him, the corner of Itachi's mouth twitched. When did I ever say that?

Shisui burst out laughing. "You little rascal. You certainly know what to say."

"But calling me a genius is going too far. I just work a little harder, that's all."

Uchiha Rìtiān rolled his eyes inwardly. Geniuses just love saying humble things like that, even though they're ridiculously strong.

"Shisui, what did you want to see me about?" Uchiha Rìtiān got straight to the point.

Shisui's smile faded as he looked at Uchiha Rìtiān seriously.

"Itachi told me you're very talented, and... your ideas are quite unusual."

"So I wanted to meet you myself and see what sort of person you are."

Uchiha Rìtiān raised his eyebrows. "That's it?"

"Of course that's not all." Shisui smiled. "I'd like to spar with you."

Huh?

Uchiha Rìtiān's eyes widened. "Shisui, you're kidding, right? I'm only six, and you want to spar with me?"

"Even picking on a kid has its limits!"

Shisui waved a hand. "Relax. I won't go all out."

"I just want to see how you do in an actual fight."

Uchiha Rìtiān's mind raced.

Spar with Shisui? This is a great opportunity!

I'll definitely lose, but if I can learn something from him, I'll come out way ahead.

Besides, it might even trigger a system mission.

"Ding! Challenge detected: spar with Shisui Uchiha."

Uchiha Rìtiān raised his head and looked at Shisui with a serious expression.

"All right! I accept!"

Shisui smiled. "Good. You've got courage."

Itachi stepped aside to act as referee.

"Are you ready?" Shisui asked.

"Wait!" Uchiha Rìtiān suddenly spoke up. "Before we spar, I have a condition."

"What condition?"

"If I can touch you once, I win." Uchiha Rìtiān held up one finger. "If I win, you have to teach me the Body Flicker Technique!"

Shisui paused, then burst out laughing.

"You little rascal. Bargaining, are you?"

"All right! I agree! If you can touch me once, I'll teach you the Body Flicker Technique!"

"But... what if you can't?"

Uchiha Rìtiān thought for a moment. "Then I'll work for you for a month, serving tea and fetching water, whenever you call!"

Shisui's eyes lit up. "Deal!"

He was growing more and more interested in this amusing little rascal.

Itachi shook his head nearby. Uchiha Rìtiān really dares to say anything.

Touch Shisui once? It won't be that easy.

With Shisui's Body Flicker Technique, even Jonin can't so much as brush his clothes.

"Ready? I'm going to start." Shisui assumed an opening stance.

"Wait!" Uchiha Rìtiān called a halt again.

"What is it now?" Shisui looked at him helplessly.

"If you attack first, I'll be at too much of a disadvantage," Uchiha Rìtiān said as though it were only reasonable. "How about this? You stand there without moving and let me attack ten times first."

Shisui: "..."

Itachi: "..."

That's just shameless!

Shisui didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "You little rascal. You're full of tricks."

"All right. I'll stand right here without moving and let you attack ten times."

"But I have one condition. If you can't touch me within those ten attacks, you lose."

Uchiha Rìtiān's eyes lit up. "It's a deal!"

He chuckled inwardly. Shisui is still too young. He doesn't know how treacherous the world is.

Standing still and letting me hit you? Won't this be a piece of cake?

Uchiha Rìtiān took a deep breath and activated his Sharingan.

"First attack!"

He pushed off the ground, shooting forward like an arrow loosed from a bow.

His fist drove straight toward Shisui's face.

Shisui stood where he was, smiling, neither dodging nor retreating.

Just as Uchiha Rìtiān's fist was about to touch him-

Bang!

A cloud of smoke burst out.

Uchiha Rìtiān's fist struck a wooden post.

"The Substitution Technique?!" Uchiha Rìtiān's eyes widened.

"What the hell? You're cheating! You said you wouldn't move!"

Shisui's voice came from the side. "I said I'd stand here without moving. I never said I couldn't use the Substitution Technique."

Uchiha Rìtiān turned to see Shisui leaning against a nearby tree, watching him with a smile.

Uchiha Rìtiān: "..."

Well, well. Playing word games with me, are you?

Fine. You got me!

"Second attack!"

Uchiha Rìtiān formed hand seals. "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

A huge fireball flew toward Shisui.

Completely unhurried, Shisui shifted, his entire figure becoming an afterimage.

The fireball passed through the afterimage and struck the large tree behind it.

Boom!

The tree was burned to charcoal.

Uchiha Rìtiān narrowed his eyes. So fast!

"Third attack!"

With a flick of his wrist, Uchiha Rìtiān sent ten kunai flying at once, cutting off every route Shisui could dodge through.

In the blink of an eye, nine attacks had passed.

Uchiha Rìtiān was panting from exhaustion, yet he hadn't even touched the hem of Shisui's clothes.

Shisui remained perfectly at ease, his breathing steady.

"You have one last attack," Shisui said with a smile.

Uchiha Rìtiān panted, but his eyes grew brighter and brighter.

"When... did you get underground?"

Uchiha Rìtiān looked up with a smug smile.

"When the shadow clones burst, of course. Earth Release: Headhunter Jutsu-ever heard of it?"

Shisui stared at Uchiha Rìtiān for a long moment, then suddenly burst out laughing.

"Good! Well done, Uchiha Rìtiān!"

"You win!"
