Personality

Shisui is gentle, approachable, and modest about his talent, attributing his ability to hard work rather than genius. As an instructor, he values intelligence alongside strength: he praises Rìtiān’s unconventional tactics and teaches him diligently after losing their restricted spar 27 28.

His central goal is reconciliation between the Uchiha and Konoha. Even after Danzo’s men severely wound him, he discourages immediate retaliation because it could worsen the conflict. He ultimately agrees to surrender an eye when Rìtiān presents it as a way to secure peace for the clan 30 31 38 44.

Shisui also underestimates Danzo’s willingness to attack him, admitting that he let his guard down. Nevertheless, surviving repeated ambushes does not extinguish his commitment to protecting Konoha 38 44.

History

Training Rìtiān

Shisui first appears while Rìtiān is asking Itachi to teach him the Great Fireball Technique. He compliments Rìtiān’s growing reputation, ruffles his hair, and tells Itachi that the clan head wants to discuss the upcoming Youth Competition 7.

Later, after hearing Itachi describe Rìtiān’s talent and unusual ideas, Shisui arranges a meeting at Naka Shrine. He proposes a spar to assess Rìtiān’s practical ability and accepts a wager: touching him once will earn Rìtiān lessons in the Body Flicker Technique. Rìtiān succeeds on his tenth attack through a shadow-clone diversion and an underground approach. Shisui acknowledges the win and begins teaching him that day 26 27 28.

Seeking Reconciliation

Rìtiān warns Shisui to be careful after Danzo makes ominous remarks about him. Shisui promises caution but remains determined to improve relations between the Uchiha and Konoha 30.

When Konoha announces an exclusively Uchiha Military Police Force, Shisui recognizes that the decision is troubling. He later enthusiastically supports Rìtiān’s Uchiha Convenience Services, thanking him for achieving the public goodwill that his own efforts had struggled to secure 31 34.

First Ambush and Root Trap

Danzo’s men ambush Shisui for his eyes, leaving him with a deep chest wound and poison that disrupts his chakra circulation. Rìtiān finds him near the cliff behind Naka Shrine and treats him at Uchiha Rìtiān Technology’s secret base. Shisui retains both eyes but urges Rìtiān not to escalate the conflict 38.

While recovering, Shisui agrees to help expose another attack. Rìtiān spreads rumors of his severe injuries and prepares a trap at Shisui’s residence. Four Root ninja are caught, allowing Fugaku and other clan members to witness their intrusion. Danzo denies responsibility, and Fugaku cannot prove his involvement 39 40.

Nine-Tails’ Attack

Shisui joins Rìtiān in protecting civilians, using Water Formation Wall to reinforce their defenses. He subsequently helps Minato suppress the Nine-Tails while Rìtiān performs an improved sealing technique, contributing to the operation that saves Minato, Kushina, and Naruto 41 42.

Second Ambush and Danzo’s Defeat

Following the two-year time skip, Rìtiān again finds Shisui gravely wounded at the Naka Shrine cliff. Danzo has taken his right eye, but Shisui reveals that he used Kotoamatsukami to implant a genuine will to protect Konoha. Rìtiān spends 2,000 show-off points to heal his injuries completely and regenerate the stolen eye 43 44.

Concerned about the uncertain duration of the effect, Rìtiān persuades Shisui to offer Danzo his left eye as well. Danzo suspects a trap but accepts because he covets Kotoamatsukami. Once both eyes are transplanted, their influence changes his will, and the system declares his threat permanently eliminated. Shisui chooses to remain in the Police Force and continue protecting Konoha 44.
