Suddenly, footsteps rang out somewhere among the buildings.
Giyu Tomioka and Tanjiro clearly heard what seemed to be someone walking on the floor above their heads.
"It's a demon's scent. A very strong one."
Tanjiro twitched his nose slightly and instantly identified the person above the corridor.
The strong scent proved that their opponent was powerful.
And so.
Tanjiro and Giyu Tomioka exchanged a glance, then each drew the Nichirin Blade at his waist.
"Water Breathing..."
"Sun Breathing..."
Blue and red light intersected as Giyu Tomioka unleashed the first slash in the Infinity Castle.
The two coordinated their sword techniques, then slashed toward the floor above together.
Boom-
A large hole was instantly blasted through the thick wooden panels in the corridor, and Giyu Tomioka and Tanjiro reached the floor above.
Their opponent's figure immediately came into view.
"It's you?!"
Tanjiro cried out.
There was no other reason.
Standing before him was none other than the demon he had encountered at the train with the Flame Hashira and Su Chen.

Giyu Tomioka looked puzzled. Seeing Tanjiro's expression, he realized that things might not be so simple.
Tanjiro nodded and explained, "He's an Upper Rank Demon. Lord Su Chen should have already killed him before. I don't know why he's here."
Hearing this, Giyu Tomioka pointed his Nichirin Blade at Akaza and said coldly, "That's an Upper Rank for you. They just won't die. Since we've run into him, we have to kill him here."
