Day after day passed, and the wedding preparations proceeded in an orderly fashion.
Marriage was something Kanzaki Kumo had never even considered in his previous life.
Back then, just supporting himself had taken everything he had. How could he have shouldered the responsibility of a family?
Fortunately, he now had the means to support a family.
Even if that family was a little on the "large" side.
Since neither Kanzaki Kumo nor the girls around him deliberately sought grandeur, and they disliked being constrained by too many rules, they chose a wedding before witnesses, the format that offered the most freedom.
The girls' wedding clothes were not the traditional pure-white shiromuku, either.
Although those pure-white robes symbolized a bride's purity, they also carried another meaning: washing away everything from her past, so that in the future she would take on only her husband's colors.
Kanzaki Kumo disliked that second meaning, because it made the girls around him seem like his possessions, and no healthy relationship should be like that.
So Kanzaki Kumo discarded that so-called traditional attire outright and chose another ensemble from his memories-scarlet robes, phoenix crowns, and embroidered capes.
Although he did not know much about the details of those clothes, fortunately, the wedding attire designer they contacted was familiar with them. After several rounds of comparing and adjusting designs, they finally had a set custom-made for each girl.
With that style of wedding attire chosen, scarlet naturally became the main color for decorating the ceremony hall and bridal chamber as well. Looking at the "double happiness" characters decorating every corner, Kanzaki Kumo felt somewhat dazed.
By the time everything was ready, the wedding day was almost upon them.
"Let the groom and brides enter-"
Accompanied by the ringing call of their host, Shinjuro Rengoku, Kanzaki Kumo
