A bone-chilling cold shot straight through Makomo's spine.
"Water Breathing, Sixth Form: Whirlpool!"
With no time to change direction, she could only use this move to turn around, attacking in place of defending.
A hand about to strike Makomo's back was severed with a single slash.
But before blood could even spray from the stump, it had already healed. In the blink of an eye, a new hand had grown.
Still, that moment's respite allowed Makomo to put some distance between them again.
"Oh my, a fine strike. Though it hardly tickled me, you must be fairly strong among humans, yes? Hmm... so beautiful and so capable. I'm even more eager to turn you into my artwork now. You would absolutely be one of my most perfect creations in centuries."
Makomo ignored Gyokko's rambling outright, studying how he had suddenly appeared behind her.
After a quick scan, her gaze settled on the pot beneath Gyokko.
She was certain that pot had still been in its original position before.
Can he switch freely between pots?
Makomo quickly guessed how he moved.
Her gaze also drew Gyokko's attention.
"Oh dear, you're staring at my pot. Do you like it? If you do, I have plenty more~"
Before he finished speaking, each of the several pairs of arms at Gyokko's sides sprouted a pot, which he then scattered around Makomo.
Just as Makomo sensed trouble and prepared to leap out of the ring of pots, they all began to shake, then grew larger than half her body in the blink of an eye.
Immediately afterward, a group of fish monsters with legs beneath their bellies and mouths full of sharp fangs emerged beneath the pots. Each enormous pot was firmly attached to a fish monster's back.
"Let my little darlings entertain you~"
Gyokko
