Shi Xuan's voice was calm and unhurried. It carried neither an aura that overawed the mind nor an ethereal, moving quality, yet Shangguan Piaoxue and the other Innate Deities involuntarily fell silent. Only Lu Baohua, the deity who had previously taken Candle Dragon's form, had eyes shining brightly as he murmured inwardly, "This Power of Time is truly profound. Could that little bell be the incarnation of the Time Great Dao? Then who is this Daoist Tian Xuan?"

Before becoming souls, some of them had been mortals, some cultivators below the Golden Core realm, and some Demonic Beasts. Their foundations in cultivation varied, and the path of natural gods differed greatly from Daoist Sect cultivation methods. Thus, Shi Xuan did not immediately speak of profound mysteries. Instead, he began with the basics, explaining the various methods of controlling one's own power and the principles contained behind them.

At the beginning of the sermon, Shangguan Piaoxue and all the other gods had eagerly anticipated that the Great Dao spoken of by Daoist Tian Xuan would trigger Heaven and Earth Resonance: Heavenly Flowers Falling, Golden Lotuses Springing from the Earth, immortal music and Buddhist chants resounding, and Six Ding and Six Jia descending in a vast, solemn spectacle. They had expected the Great Dao's mysteries to draw them into rapture, allowing them only a scant measure of comprehension.

Who could have expected Daoist Tian Xuan's teachings to be plain and easy to understand? To those gods reincarnated from cultivators, they
