In the lobby of North American Ministry of Magic.
Old Minister had just stepped onto the makeshift podium surrounded by Auror, preparing to announce to all Wizarding World the bombshell news that "the number one traitor Joseph has been captured."
All eyes, flashing lights and angry emotions were focused on the center of the hall.
In this chaotic and angry moment, no one noticed that a huge Golden Retriever was strutting through the corridor of Ministry of Magic.
Occasionally, a few employees passing by in a hurry caught a glimpse of it, and they just thought it was a magical pet brought by Auror, without even the slightest intention of questioning it.
Buddy followed the familiar route and followed the smell left by Joseph, all the way to the door of Minister's Office.
Buddy pushed open a crack in the door with his butt, got in like a loach, and then closed the door tightly with his backhand and a paw.
There was no one in the office, but the private living room hidden behind the bookshelf was full of light, and the door was not closed tightly.
Buddy poked the dog's head along the crack in the door, and glanced inside with a pair of brown dog eyes.
In the living room, Joseph is sitting comfortably on the sofa, holding a cup of steaming Black Tea in his hand.
There were even a few plates of snacks on the coffee table next to it.
Old Wizards was holding a quill pen and writing rapidly on a roll of parchment. His face was full of the kind of emotion and piety that "a scholar will die for his friends."
Seeing this scene, Buddy the whole dog felt bad.
"Wow! Old guy, why aren't you dead yet?!"
Buddy kicked open the ajar door and walked in with a swagger, a dog's face full of sorrow.
"Cough cough cough..."
Joseph was so frightened by the sudden barking that the whole body trembled, and the sip he had just taken Black Tea choked directly into his trachea.
He raised his head with a flushed face and looked at the familiar Golden Retriever in disbelief.
"Buddy?! Why are you here?"
Joseph rubbed his eyes to confirm that he was not hallucinating. His first reaction was that he was extremely moved.
"Merlin... Did you follow my scent all the way here? Does Mr. Lynn know? It's so dangerous outside, and your loyal dog actually did it for me..."
"Stop, stop, stop! Hold back your tears!"
Buddy rolled his eyes angrily, jumped onto the coffee table, and sat down next to the plate of exquisite snacks.
"Who is here for you? Lynn said that you stubborn old man insisted on coming back to die, so he asked me to follow you quietly. I thought that when you were beaten half to death by that bullshit minister and you were dying, I would jump out and make a shining debut. By then, in order to save your life, you would definitely not mind teaching me all those diarrhea curses, Avada Kedavra and the like Dark Magic."
Buddy became more and more angry as he spoke. He stretched out his paw and patted the parchment in front of Joseph, and complained bitterly:
"What's the result? I've been out in the cold wind for a long time, and you old boy not only didn't lose a single hair on your head, but you actually drank tea here? You're going to lose a leg or go blind!"
Joseph was dumbfounded.
What kind of tiger and wolf words are coming out of this dog's mouth?
"You... you bad dog!"
Old Wizards was so angry that his beard stood straight up.
"Old Minister is my mentor! He is protecting me! Not only did he not hurt me, he also hid me here under the pressure of all Wizarding World. You have no idea how great he is!"
Buddy curled his lips in disgust.
"Come on, Lynn is right, you old man is a hopeless idiot. Locking you up in this Chamber of Secrets without even a window, and announcing your arrest outside, isn't it obvious that he wants to drain you dry of you like a fat goose who preyed on Golden Egg, and finally find any excuse to kill you?"
Buddy was too lazy to argue with this brainwashed old man. He flicked his tail and muttered in disappointment,
"Forget it, since your life is not in danger, I don't have to fish for people. I'm rushing back to Long Island to eat Lynn's stewed beef."
Buddy jumped off the coffee table and prepared to go home.
But the moment it turned around, it suddenly stopped, turned its head, and stared at the Wand placed on the table.
"But you've come here, you can't go back empty-handed."
Buddy walked up to Joseph and raised his chin confidently.
"Old man, Dark Magic, forget it if you don't want to teach me. Come on, hurry up and teach me two practical little magic tricks. This is my errand fee for this trip today."
Joseph looked at this ignorant Golden Retriever and was so angry that he laughed.
"Teach you? Buddy, do you really think of yourself as Wizards just because you can speak a few human words?"
Joseph shook his head helplessly and put on the airs of a Charms teacher.
"In the Manor during the day, you couldn't even make Wand catch a spark. Even if I told you the spell word for word, you wouldn't be able to learn it. You'd better give up this idea as soon as possible."
"Can't you learn?"
Buddy's dog eyes narrowed slightly, and a sneer came from his throat.
It originally planned to keep the image of trash in Long Island Estate to the end, but now that Lynn has seen through it, there is no need for it to hide in front of this pedantic old Wizards.
Okay, stop pretending, let's show off.
In fact, I am a magic genius!
"Old man, keep your eyes open."
Buddy suddenly stuck his head out and picked up the Wand on the table.
The dog's mouth flicked slightly, but no sound was made at all.
Buzz!
In Joseph's horrified eyes, a magic shield appeared out of thin air!
This is not over yet.
Buddy held Wand's head and turned it at an extremely slight angle.
A dazzling red light shot out like lightning, and the curse of "Expelliarmus" was released without any backlash.
The red light did not cause any explosion, but turned into an extremely delicate energy, hitting the tea cup in Joseph's hand with extremely precise accuracy.
A whooshing sound.
The tea cup flew smoothly out of Joseph's hand, drawing a perfect parabola in mid-air. In the end, not even a drop of tea was spilled, and it landed steadily on the bookshelf at the other end of the living room.
Instant!
Nonverbal Spellcasting!
It moves smoothly without any magic power leaking out, as if this Wand was born to grow in its mouth.
Joseph slumped on the sofa, his mouth open wide enough to fit an adult's fist into it.
"Merlin's... beard..."
Joseph was trembling all over, looking at Golden Retriever on the carpet with Wand in its mouth like a monster, "How... how is this possible? You... you are actually..."
"Don't get excited, old man, we have to learn to keep a low profile."
Buddy slowly opened his mouth and vomited Wand on the coffee table. Looking at Joseph whose outlook was shattered to pieces, he arrogantly shook his golden hair.
"That stupid way of chewing sticks during the day was just for those little brats."
Buddy slapped his paw on the coffee table and viciously exposed two rows of big white teeth:
"Now, do you still think I can't learn it?"
