"Forget it, I really can't take it anymore. Let's do this now!"
"We've just had our fill of food and drink! This is the perfect time to stretch our legs!"
Randolph abruptly stood, grabbed Radeus by the wrist, and headed for Wenne Port's city gates.
"Hey, hey, hey, where are we going?"
Before Radeus could recover, Randolph dragged him out of the restaurant.
He glanced back at the plate of Dragon Meat Nanahoshi Roast that had yet to be cleared away, and his stomach cramped again.
After the two left, the restaurant fell quiet for a while.
A sharp-eyed adventurer belatedly recognized the pair, and the fork in his hand clattered onto his plate.
"Could that man wearing the eyepatch just now have been Lord Randolph?"
His voice trembled, as though he had witnessed something unbelievable.
Another person chimed in, his wineglass suspended in midair, the wine sloshing inside.
"And wasn't the other one the Azure Reaper from that S-rank party that's become famous on the Demon Continent lately?"
"Why were those two together?"
The restaurant erupted, whispers spreading like a tide.
"Slow down! You're going to wear right through my shoes!"
Radeus complained the whole way, but Randolph turned a deaf ear, merely gripping his wrist tightly and walking so fast it was as if he were chasing something.
At last, the two stopped before a set of ruins.
Before them stood an enormous circular structure beneath the moonlight. Its outer walls were built from pitch-black volcanic rock and rose dozens of meters high, their weathered surfaces bearing the marks of time.
The building formed a perfect circle, with tiers of archways and corridors winding upward.
In terms of design alone, it looked very much like the Roman Colosseum!
"Where the hell are we?"
Radeus looked utterly bewildered.
