It was already late at night when Radeus dragged himself back to his room, exhaustion written all over his face.
Those three inhuman monsters had taken turns tormenting him until this late before letting him go. He was truly exhausted in body and mind now, as though the last drop had been squeezed from his soul. The moment his body touched the bed, he was out.
Meanwhile, Rudeus returned to his room in a huff, still sulking over his inadequate stats and mechanics.
He was already thinking about what Blessing he should ask for next to catch up with Radeus's stats and mechanics.
After who knew how long, Rudeus drifted hazily off to sleep.
His consciousness returned to a white space...
"Goddammit, this place again! Does this ever end?"

Rudeus was numb to it by now. Hitogami had been getting more and more diligent lately. At first, he had shown some restraint, appearing only once every ten days or half a month, but now he came trotting over every few days.
"Yo, Rudeus! We meet again. Did you miss me?"
The familiar voice sounded beside Rudeus's ear. He did not even need to turn around to know it had to be that pixelated blob, Hitogami.
"Aren't these visits getting a little too frequent? Have you fallen in love with me?"
Rudeus curled his lips into a contemptuous smile, then simply lay down on the ground and crossed his legs, utterly at ease.
"That's right, Rudeus! You're just so devastatingly handsome, I can't hold myself back anymore~"
Hitogami pitched his voice high, making it sickeningly sweet. As he spoke, the pixelated blob even began writhing and striking seductive poses, his tone nauseating enough to marinate in.
