Completely out of the loop, Chi Shuran had considered every possibility, but she had never expected Chi An to pull this on her. Being yelled at had left her pretty damn dumbfounded.

Her mind was blank, but her ears were pricked. She had caught every one of those "keywords."

He had said people threw dog shit at her when she went out, said she was ugly! Said she shouldn't even think about coming home without plastic surgery!!!

She wouldn't have said anything if he had called her stupid! She admitted she had the lowest IQ in the family, but she would absolutely never admit she was ugly!!!

Her face had inherited the best features of both her parents! After all these years of being trashed, no one had ever attacked her looks!

"Who are you calling ugly?! Who are you saying gets dog shit thrown at them?! Open your eyes! Take a good look! You call this beauty ugly?!"

"I think you're the one who needs to go to the hospital! Get those eyes checked and see if you're blind!"

Who cared what the situation was? He had called her ugly. Was she supposed to take that?!

Put up with it for a moment, get breast hyperplasia; take a step back, get ovarian cysts; bottle it up for a day, get liver qi stagnation; get angry once, get thyroid nodules; curse once, get a heart attack; give an inch, get an endocrine disorder.

So... why should she make things hard for herself? There was no way Chi Shuran was going to take this!

Far too worked up, Chi Shuran ripped off her sunglasses, turned toward the crowd, and pointed at her face as she roared, "Am I ugly?! Tell me, am I ugly?"

"Is Chi Shuran ugly?! Who could look at Chi Shuran and not call her beautiful!"

"How dare you call Chi Shuran ugly!"

The people closest to her were frightened by Chi Shuran's crazed behavior. They raised both hands in front of their chests and kept backing away.

"Oh my god, this brain-dead Chi Shuran fan is terrifying. Sure, the surgery on her face worked, but is there something wrong with her mental state?"

"I thought we'd run into the real person. Got excited for nothing. But is this woman really okay in the head?"

"There really are all kinds of fans these days. She even had her face altered to look like that."

"It looks pretty natural, too. I thought it was actually her."

"She scared the hell out of me. Let's get out of here. She's like a lunatic. Terrifying."

The person leading the group turned and fled. Seeing their leader leave, the people behind felt awkward staying any longer and turned to leave one after another.

"Hey! Why are you leaving?! Why are you all leaving?! Answer me!"

The crowd gradually dispersed, and not one person answered her. Anxious, Chi Shuran stepped forward and tried to grab someone to question them, only to see them looking at her like she was insane, backing away and fleeing.

"No, don't all leave! I am Chi Shuran!"

"Have you ever seen anyone get plastic surgery this convincing?! I'm clearly the real thing! The all-natural real thing!!!"

Chi An let Chi Shuran stand in the hall making a spectacle of herself. Seeing her reveal her identity so openly, he made no move to stop her and instead stood calmly to one side.

After all, the livestream had not officially started yet. Normally, no celebrity would reveal their identity so openly in public, especially after that earlier little incident. So Chi Shuran's behavior now undoubtedly put all lingering doubts to rest for those who had still been suspicious.

Faced with the strange looks from passersby, Chi An smiled, pressed his palms together, and mouthed an apology. Then he pointed at Chi Shuran and at his own head, as though telling everyone, "She's not quite right in the head." The passersby nodded knowingly and quickly left the scene.

Finally, with boarding time approaching, Chi An took Chi Shuran's hand and led her briskly toward the boarding gate. Thanks to the earlier farce, boarding went unusually smoothly, and they followed the flow of passengers straight onto the plane.

Hidden out of sight, Sister Wang watched everything unfold. She must have committed some terrible sins in her previous life to have ended up dealing with these siblings in this one.

Just after the two left, another wave of people poured in behind them. Cries of surprise rose from the crowd, which quickly converged on one spot and surrounded it completely.

"Aaah! Wifey! Wifey! My adorable wifey!"

"Wifey looks so beautiful today! That smile is killing me!!!"

"I'm going crazy! Baby Wanqing looks so gorgeous today!!! Come let Mommy give you a kiss!!!"

"Baby, baby, look at the camera! Look at the camera! Mommy will take a pretty picture of you!!!"

"Baby!!!"

Standing in the middle of the crowd were two girls in exquisite makeup and gorgeous princess dresses. They looked every bit a pair of little princesses, both very pretty.

The boarding gate was packed solid. Those inside couldn't get out, and those outside couldn't get in. Naturally, this drew plenty of complaints, but even with staff shouting nearby, no one listened to a word.

Ultraman and Toad, who were among the crowd in mascot costumes, kept getting shoved around. Finally, Ultraman lost patience, pulled a megaphone straight out of the backpack of the person beside them, and shouted at the frenzied fans ahead, "You've messed with Ultraman. You're all done for!"

"If you won't let me have an easy time, none of you are getting one! If I can't get on my plane, neither can you! Let's all die together!"

"Nobody gets to live! Let's all die together! Going to work was annoying enough, and now I have to run into you bunch of psycho monkeys!"

"Even after I die in this life, I'm going to remember every one of your faces! In my next life, I'll be a bird just to shit on your heads!"

Stunned by Ultraman's words, the people nearby silently moved aside. In an instant, an open space appeared around Ultraman and Toad in the previously packed crowd.

"What happened?"

Lu Wanqing stepped out of the crowd and stood in front of Ultraman, smiling as she said, "I'm sorry. They're all my fans. If they've done anything to offend you, I apologize on their behalf."

Ultraman looked down at the girl standing there, the two lightbulb-like eyes on the mascot costume staring straight at her.

"What are those things on either side of your head? You don't use them at all. I was talking through a megaphone, and you didn't hear a word. Now you're apologizing with that grin on your face. Do you think I'm playing around?"

Her smile froze. Lu Wanqing almost failed to keep it in place, and with so many people watching, embarrassment spread across her face.

"Sir, I genuinely didn't notice what you were saying just now. May I ask what you're trying to do? I see you're wearing a mascot costume. Are you making money by taking pictures with people? How about I take one with you?"

"I was already annoyed, and now I've run into someone with faulty hearing. Move aside. How much do you think that face of yours is worth? Do I know you?"

Ignoring the person standing there, Ultraman seized the moment before anyone around them could react, grabbed Toad, and headed toward the boarding gate, remembering along the way to pull off a glove, take the phone out of Toad's front pocket, and make a call.

"Hello? I'd like to report a crowd maliciously causing trouble at XX Airport. They're preventing passengers from boarding and are about to make several people miss their flights."

"All right, yes. I hope this will be resolved to my satisfaction."
