Pei Song'an took Li Shu and Zhaocai to a pet-friendly restaurant.
Li Shu had spoiled Zhaocai rotten. All he wanted was meat, and he nosed the few leafy greens to the edge of his bowl, whining and pretending not to see them.
"Woof, woof!"
This bland stuff? No room for it, no room!
Li Shu tried to sneak Zhaocai a couple of beef cubes, but Pei Song'an caught him and slapped the back of his hand.
"You're not getting any meat until you finish all this." Pei Song'an spoke human language to Zhaocai with a straight face, then moved the plate of sliced steak in front of Li Shu. "You eat. Let him watch."
Zhaocai anxiously pawed at Li Shu. "Woof, woof!"
Li Xiaoshu, do you even know how to eat that?
Let this dog eat it! Let this dog eat it!
Li Shu cackled, opened his mouth wide, and stuffed in two mouthfuls of meat, chewing away. He even leaned over to tease the dog on purpose. "Haha, wait till I pick the meat out of my teeth, and I'll let you have a taste. Can't help it, the bossy old man is watching. If one of us has to suffer, it's definitely going to be you!"
Zhaocai smacked his lips in anger. Seeing he had no chance, he could only chew helplessly at the air a couple of times before reluctantly finishing the leaves left in his bowl.
Li Shu was terribly busy too, eating, then turning to play with the dog for a while, then turning back for another mouthful once he had finished chewing, then going back to pester Zhaocai...
He repeated this until Pei Song'an finally couldn't stand it anymore. He rapped hard on the tabletop twice and said, barely holding himself back, "Li Shu,
