Bone spurs!

On the surveillance feed, The Female lifted a barbell weighing hundreds of kilograms with her bare hands, training intensely over and over. She exerted herself furiously while cursing under her breath to vent, her emotions wildly agitated.

Solomon glanced casually at the screen. Objectively speaking, The Female was exceptionally attractive. No wonder A-Train was so devoted to her.

Unfortunately, The Female's superpower was somewhat laughable: two ivory-like bone spurs that extended from her wrists.

He paid her little more attention and found an empty seat, already knowing how the plot would unfold.

It was simply a matter of The Female losing control after taking drugs, flying into a frenzy, and accidentally killing someone. Butcher would use it as leverage to threaten her, eventually uncovering A-Train's secret and allowing the group to find the imprisoned Kimiko.

Bored out of his mind, Solomon opened his phone and browsed videos and livestreams about superhumans online.

In this world, superhumans were internet celebrities who drew traffic. There were countless everyday livestreams and videos showcasing their powers. Almost everyone relied on exposure to generate buzz and gain resources.

Before obtaining his powers, he had been an ordinary mortal who dared not provoke any superhuman. He could only keep his head down and struggle cautiously to survive.

But now he had joined the ranks of superhumans and had the means to hunt down those Metahumans scattered among the public, steadily developing his abilities.

Solomon swiped rapidly across the screen, silently noting every Metahuman whose location and identity were clear, laying the groundwork for later.

As he scrolled, a somewhat familiar face caught his eye.

He stared at the screen for a long time, unable to recall who she was. He only felt that she looked extremely familiar and was most likely a named character in the story.

He glanced at the streamer's username: Misty, a name he had never heard before. The stream's viewer count was pitifully low, too.

The woman on-screen was extremely agitated, repeatedly screaming at the camera, her voice filled with venom and resentment.

"Starlight is a complete and utter bitch! She doesn't deserve to be in The Seven!"

Amid the repeated insults, a flash of inspiration struck Solomon, and he remembered who she was!

Firecracker!

A future member of The Seven, a woman who could provide Homelander with facial cleanser and cleansing milk, leaving him speechless with shock!

Firecracker had once entered some competition alongside Starlight, only to have malicious sexual rumors spread about her, ruining her reputation and destroying her future. As a result, she hated Starlight to the bone and was deeply obsessed with her.

Had she not been frantically cursing Starlight now, looking so down and out, Solomon would never have connected the person before him with that celebrated member of The Seven later in the story.

Firecracker's own superpower was practically useless. She could only produce a few sparks, with negligible destructive power and almost no value in actual combat. However, a superhuman by her side had quite a good ability.

Quite good for Solomon, that was!

Splinter!

A devoted fanboy of Firecracker, he had spent years livestreaming alongside her, profiting from fan donations and swindling ordinary internet users.

Splinter's superpower was exactly what his name suggested: splitting!

He could voluntarily split off large numbers of duplicates identical to his original body. Every duplicate possessed independent self-awareness, obeyed the original's commands absolutely, and could act independently and fight in coordination.

More importantly, injuries or deaths suffered by the duplicates had absolutely no effect on the original. There was also no limit to how long they could survive, allowing them to remain in existence indefinitely.

In Splinter's hands, this ability was utterly useless.

That was because Splinter's original body only had an ordinary person's physical capabilities. His strength, speed, and defense were exactly the same as those of an ordinary person.

No matter how many duplicates he produced, they were merely a group of ordinary people, helpless against superhumans. Their only use was overwhelming smaller numbers.

But in Solomon's hands, it would absolutely be a top-tier, heaven-defying ability!

He already possessed supersonic speed and diamond-level defense. Once he acquired the ability to split, every duplicate would inherit all his superpowers and attributes.

Most importantly, he could keep his original body completely hidden and safely alive, sending duplicates to handle every dangerous matter and arrange every operation. He could develop steadily until he was invincible, without injury or risk throughout the process.

"Ah!"

Hughie's startled cry suddenly rang out, instantly dragging Solomon's wandering thoughts back to reality.

He looked up and swept his gaze over the suddenly grave expressions of everyone in the surveillance van, already understanding what had happened.

On-screen, The Female, who had lost control after taking drugs, completely flew into a frenzy and accidentally crushed her landlord's head beneath her.

Thick red-and-white fluid splattered across the floor. The scene was horrifically bloody and disgusting, enough to turn one's stomach.

Solomon could not be bothered to give the disturbing scene another glance. He quietly watched Butcher and the others quickly settle on a plan.

Once their discussion was over, Butcher and Frenchie pushed open the door and got out, heading straight for The Female's apartment.

Solomon slowly stood up and casually said to Hughie,

"I'm going out for some air."

With that, he walked straight out of the surveillance van, avoided the crowds on the main road, and found a quiet, deserted alley.

Inside the apartment, Butcher employed his familiar mix of threats and inducements, alternating between force and persuasion. With little effort, he pried all the hidden information out of the distraught Female.

Beside him, Frenchie expertly dealt with the bloody corpse at the scene. He then carried the remains out of the apartment with Butcher, clearing away the traces.

The two had only just left, and The Female was still sitting there, shaken and furiously cursing the bastards who had taken advantage of her predicament.

Just then, The Female felt a sudden, heavy burst of pain in the back of her head. Her vision instantly went black, her body went limp, and she collapsed unconscious to the floor.

Ding! Superhuman defeated: The Female. Ability acquired: bone spurs.

Solomon stopped and withdrew his strength. The whole process had been clean and efficient, leaving no trace. He turned and quietly retreated into the alley.

He did not rush to get dressed and reveal himself. Still optically invisible, he raised his hand and tried activating his new bone spur ability.

With the faint sound of skin splitting, a neat, narrow opening appeared at his wrist. A sharp white bone spur roughly twenty centimeters long shot out, hard and cold, with considerable killing power.

But the next second, Solomon's expression darkened.

Yet his invisibility relied entirely on his carbon-fiber super skin. His bone spurs were not made of carbon-fiber super material, which meant both of them remained completely visible.

In the dim alley, two sharp bone spurs hung suspended in midair, their outlines strikingly clear. Ridiculous and conspicuous, they effectively gave his position away.

"Useless ability."

Solomon silently retracted the bone spurs, unable to resist muttering a curse. He quickly put his clothes on and dropped his invisibility.

As he walked back toward the surveillance van, he opened his updated superpower panel.

Name: Solomon Strength: level 1.2 Defense: level 2.02 Hearing: level 1.2 Vision: level 1 Speed: level 3 Abilities: carbon-fiber super skin, super speed, bone spurs Bone spurs: extend a sharp bone spur from the wrist.
