Solomon slowly rose from his seat and lowered his gaze to Soldier Boy, whose expression had changed drastically. His voice was light and cold, without the slightest ripple.
"What, you want to avenge Stormfront? Do you have what it takes?"
Soldier Boy's brow knotted tightly. Brutality churned in his eyes through the agonizing pain, and his mind was full of questions.
Stormfront?
For a moment, he failed to understand. Then it dawned on him, and he gritted his teeth, saying in a low voice:
"You mean Clara. That's right, I do want to avenge her. But I never expected you to be this strong."
Watching from the side, Homelander's heart pounded wildly. He hurried forward and planted himself firmly between them, turning to question Soldier Boy.
"Wait, Stormfront-Clara-you knew her?"
Soldier Boy raised his hand and endured the excruciating pain as he forcibly set his displaced, broken bones back into place. Fine beads of cold sweat seeped from his temples as he slowly straightened, his gaze still defiant and cold.
"Clara was my old flame. What do you think?"
Boom-
Homelander felt his scalp crawl, his mind instantly going blank.
His dad's woman had been killed by the man he practically treated as his dad?
There was no resolving this grudge now!
He hurriedly tried to talk them down, desperately smoothing things over while repeatedly signaling Soldier Boy with his eyes.
"Stormfront wanted to kill JS, so JS killed her. You can't blame JS for that. It's over now. Go sit on the other side!"
Homelander was frantic, caught between the two, his composure completely shattered.
He knew Solomon's strength all too well. Soldier Boy stood absolutely no chance.
If he truly enraged Solomon and Solomon decided to kill him, Homelander would have no way to stop it.
