Solomon looked at the Amazon princess beside him, so utterly devoted, and felt her unreserved, burning love. The softest place deep in his heart was profoundly touched.
He reached out and gently stroked Diana's exquisite face, smiling as he said:
"I promise."
Before his words had faded, Diana could no longer restrain her feelings. She threw herself into his arms and pressed a deep kiss to his lips.
The sea wind howled past, battering the cliffs and stirring up waves of lilting, unbroken surf that swelled from soft to loud, lingering throughout the long, tender night...
Early the next morning.
Led by Queen Hippolyta and several fully armed Amazon elders, Solomon and Diana arrived at the forbidden grounds buried deep beneath the Temple.
Passing through one stone door after another sealed by ancient magic, the group finally set foot in the dungeon in the deepest part of the Temple.
Above the stone platform at the center of the dungeon, a seemingly ordinary metal cube floated silently: the Mother Box.
Its surface was covered in cold, intricate mechanical patterns, and it was currently completely dormant.
Queen Hippolyta stopped and pointed at the cube with a complicated expression:
"This is the Mother Box. A weapon of destruction brought here by that alien tyrant when he descended in ancient times. Once all three Mother Boxes are gathered and united, the entire planet will be devoured. If you really can take it away... with one Mother Box missing, Earth will no longer have to fear destruction."
Solomon nodded and stepped up to the stone platform.
He activated no power, merely extending his long, well-proportioned fingers to brush the Mother Box's cold metal casing. Then, with a slight shift of his spiritual sense, he tried to bring it into his personal storage space.
