Light Eyes Strobe!

Solomon suddenly remembered a Supe at Godolkin University whose ability let him stuff people up his ass—several of them, even.

Thinking of it that way, storing things in his mouth didn't seem so hard to accept. At least it was much better than stuffing them up his ass.

He instinctively touched his mouth, muttering inwardly, A phone would fit, but clothes probably wouldn't...

Wait, I have Rubberization!

His lips could expand and stretch without limit. In theory, he could stuff anything inside.

It was just... a little disgusting.

Disgusting or not, at least it works. Better than stuffing things up my ass.

Solomon looked up at Gecko beside him. The man was stealing a nervous glance at the liquor bottle on the table, his whole body rigid. He didn't dare move, clutching his empty glass tightly, afraid that even setting it down gently might displease Solomon.

Solomon said nothing more. He casually picked up the whiskey, filled Gecko's empty glass, then poured his own seven-tenths full. He raised his glass and gently clinked it against Gecko's with a crisp chime.

"I'm quite interested in all of them. When you have time, invite them out to sit down with me. My treat."

His meaning was already clear enough. Gecko should understand, right?

Sure enough, Gecko caught on immediately. He quickly tipped his head back and drained the hard liquor in one gulp, not even stopping to wince as the fiery liquid slid down his throat. Nodding emphatically, he replied:

"Of course, Mr. Translucent. I'll do my best to arrange it. It's just that they all have different time off, so I'll need to ask them one by one first. Once we've settled on a time, I'll contact you right away."

Solomon readily drained his own glass in one gulp as well, then raised a hand and gently patted Gecko's shoulder, a trace of approval flashing in his eyes.

This guy really knows how to play along.

"Not just them. If there are any other Supe assistants in the research department, you can invite them too. I've always liked making friends with Supes."

Solomon left his phone number, slowly stood up, and straightened the hem of his clothes.

"Keep drinking here. The private room is yours to enjoy, and I'll cover all the expenses. If you get this done, then from now on, whether someone at Vought or outside gives you trouble, just tell them my name."

With that, Solomon stayed no longer. He turned and walked straight out of the private room.

Gecko stood frozen on the spot, his face filled with incredulous shock. It took him quite a while to come to his senses.

Did I just... somehow become a lackey of Translucent from The Seven?

An enormous wave of delight instantly swept over him. Gecko was ecstatic, inwardly celebrating his good luck at finding such a powerful backer.

The corners of his mouth rose uncontrollably. Unable to contain his excitement, he jumped on the spot and let out a low "yes," his voice brimming with joy.

"After hanging on for so long, I've finally made it!"

Muttering to himself, he grabbed the whole bottle of whiskey from the table, tipped his head back, and chugged straight from the bottle, liquor spilling down the corners of his mouth.

After leaving the club, Solomon headed straight toward Vought's internal elevators.

When he entered the elevator, The Deep was already gone. Presumably, he had left on his own after regaining consciousness. Solomon hadn't seen any sign of him in the club either, but he didn't give it much thought.

The elevator ran smoothly and soon reached his destination. Solomon went straight back to Translucent's private apartment.

Inside the apartment beside Vought Tower, Solomon glanced at the clone next to him. The clone gave a helpless sigh, silently walked aside, picked up the stun baton prepared beforehand, and jabbed it against himself without hesitation.

As he pressed the switch on the stun baton, a dazzling burst of sparks erupted, and a powerful electric current instantly struck the clone.

Yet the clone's expression remained unchanged, without the slightest discomfort on his face. Not only did he feel none of the numbness of an electric shock, he didn't even feel a trace of pain.

It was as though that powerful current were merely a breeze, having no effect on him whatsoever.

It was like the strengths of Rubberization and Carbon-Fiber Super Skin had been perfectly combined!

He had both the insulating properties of Rubberization, which blocked electrical current, and the tremendous defense of Carbon-Fiber Super Skin, which left him unafraid of physical impacts. This was definitely a good sign.

So similar abilities can fuse together, becoming stronger and more perfect!

This instantly brought two other abilities to Solomon's mind: Light Eyes and Laser Eyes!

One turned his eyes into light bulbs but blinded him in the process.

The other fired high-intensity lasers from his eyes, allowing him to see normally while possessing tremendous killing power.

Could the two abilities combine?

At that thought, Solomon instinctively activated Light Eyes.

The next second, two dazzling beams of light shot from his eyes like searchlights. The light was so piercing that it was almost impossible to look straight at him up close.

But from slightly farther away, he was no different from an oversized light bulb. It was quite useful for illumination, at least.

If he got right in someone's face, he might temporarily dazzle their eyes and interfere with their vision.

Solomon blinked and found that, with Light Eyes activated, he still couldn't see anything around him.

Light Eyes worked by directly turning his eyeballs into light-emitting objects similar to light bulbs, completely stripping them of their ability to see.

Laser Eyes, meanwhile, gathered energy inside his eyeballs before firing it out through them. The two operated on entirely different principles.

Still, this experiment unexpectedly gave Solomon another idea for using Light Eyes.

A strobe!

If he could switch Light Eyes on and off rapidly to produce high-frequency flashes of intense light, he might severely disrupt an enemy's vision or even temporarily blind them.

He put the thought into action immediately, trying to switch Light Eyes on and off repeatedly. But he soon discovered that activating the ability required a certain interval, making rapid switching impossible within such a short time.

Solomon rubbed his chin and came up with an idea.

Solomon rubbed his chin and, a moment later, came up with an idea.

He activated Light Eyes in both eyes, then blinked rapidly.

The intense light emitted by Light Eyes flicked on and off as he blinked, instantly creating a high-frequency strobe effect. Dazzling light flashed continuously through the apartment.

"It works!"

Solomon felt a surge of delight. Although the action looked somewhat comical, even a little clumsy, there was no denying that it would definitely prove useful in close combat.

He wouldn't need this move against weak Supes.

The ones who could force him to use it would all be powerful Supes whom even Laser Eyes struggled to handle. Such Supes usually had very strong vision, and the high-frequency strobe would most likely rob them of their sight for a short time.

When that happened, whether he seized the chance to attack or turned and retreated when things looked bad, either would become much easier.

Although Light Eyes temporarily blinded him, he still had Echolocation, which let him clearly sense every movement around him. Sight had always been something he could do with or without.

Solomon became completely absorbed in experimenting with the Light Eyes strobe, repeatedly adjusting his blinking frequency and controlling the brightness of Light Eyes, refining and optimizing this use he had thought up on the fly.

The more he experimented, the more engrossed he became. His mind was filled with how to make this move as effective as possible in actual combat, and he completely forgot something critically important.
