(You guys are awesome-seven updates today!)

Dazzling electricity erupted from Starlight's palms, sweeping through the guards all around her. Amid the crackling bursts, every guard surrounding Hughie and the other three was instantly knocked down and left unconscious.

Solomon had forcibly broken both of A-Train's legs earlier. His injuries were so severe that he could not regain his mobility anytime soon, so he did not appear at the scene as he had in the original plot.

Without a Supe to intercept them, their escape went exceptionally smoothly. With almost no effort, they broke through the CIA black site's blockade and got away.

After successfully rescuing them, Annie did not linger. Unwilling to get too involved with Hughie's group, she turned and hurried away, heading straight back to Vought Tower.

As she passed the floor where Solomon's apartment was, her steps instinctively faltered. Her gaze settled on his tightly closed door, and turmoil stirred in her heart once more.

Previously, she had known nothing about Hughie's past, Translucent's death, or the group's bitter feud with Vought.

But now she knew everything, yet she had still chosen to help them, outright betraying Vought.

If Homelander found out, the consequences would be unthinkable.

What concerned her even more was that JS had once saved her from danger. If Homelander investigated, her betrayal of Vought could very well implicate Solomon, bringing undeserved disaster down on him.

Should I tell Solomon myself so he can prepare in advance?

The thought had barely formed before she forcibly suppressed it.

No!

I absolutely can't tell him!

She was grateful to Solomon for his kindness, but this matter involved too much and carried too great a risk. If it got out, it would only hurt both him and her.

Keeping it completely secret was the safest choice.

Annie
