The violent blast of light energy struck Solomon head-on. Its tremendous force sent him flying again, slamming him hard into the wall before he slowly slid down its cold surface.
Solomon slowly straightened up and casually rolled his shoulders and neck, his eyes utterly calm.
This spectacular level-three energy blast looked incredibly intimidating, but its actual effect was pitifully limited. From beginning to end, it had provided nothing but brute knockback, failing to inflict the slightest real injury on him.
Throughout the entire fight, the only things that had suffered serious damage were the various electrical devices in the training ground.
All the wiring had burned out, the screens had gone black and become useless, and the stench of scorched circuitry filled the grounds.
On the floor, Starlight gasped for breath, her chest heaving violently, her mind filled with bewilderment.
The fight had gone nothing like she had expected.
She had been certain that just a few blasts of light energy would repeatedly send the invisible Translucent flying, letting her win easily and bring the sparring match to a tidy end.
Yet the reality was that she had exhausted all her strength without managing to hurt him at all.
Starlight braced herself against the floor and struggled to stand. Golden electricity flickered faintly in her eyes as she tried to activate her power again, but the light dimmed rapidly after barely an instant.
Her heart sank as she immediately realized the problem.
To break the deadlock, she had drawn on every bit of electricity in the grounds, pushing herself to her limit. Now the entire training ground had lost power, leaving not a trace of electricity for her to draw upon.
Without an external electrical supply, her superpower had become completely useless.
Unwilling to give up, she raised her hand
