Chapters 351–375 Vol. 4 Read

Ch. 351The Green Lantern Corps!

Solomon ordered the Kryptonians to begin rebuilding their population under a yellow sun, despite Jor-El's warnings, and had Clark's Codex extracted to activate two hundred embryos. He planned to obtain a suitable planet through Hal Jordan and take Kryptonian technology and the Genesis Chamber back to The Boys world.

  • Solomon rejected Jor-El's proposal to wait for New Krypton's geological transformation and ordered General Zod to proceed with the Genesis Chamber.
  • Solomon told Clark to have the Codex extracted from his cells, and Jor-El revealed that he had embedded it in Clark before Krypton's destruction.
  • Clark trusted Solomon and went to the Medical Bay, while Solomon decided to seek a habitable planet by finding Hal Jordan, a Green Lantern.
  • The Chief Scientist reported that the Codex had been extracted and all two hundred embryo sequences had begun cell division.
  • Solomon ordered copies of Krypton's technological data and the Codex, intending to take the Codex and Genesis Chamber to The Boys world.

Ch. 352Compound V with a 100% awakening rate!

Solomon perfected Compound V to awaken powers in anyone without side effects and instructed Lex Luthor to prepare for mass production. He reviewed intelligence on powerful figures and Supes, including a tattooed ex-gang leader held at Belle Reve, while planning his next targets.

  • Solomon perfected Compound V, giving it a 100% awakening rate and allowing further injections of the original formula to raise attributes up to level 5.
  • Solomon met with Lex Luthor, who reported Vought’s rising stock, the public’s search for Solomon’s identity, and the failure to locate Hal Jordan.
  • Solomon decided to copy Diana’s attributes and pursue Black Adam and the Crown of Sabbac in Kahndaq, while avoiding Atlantis and Themyscira for now.
  • Solomon told Lex to arrange mass production, publicity, and human trials for Perfected Compound V, and asked him to continue expanding Vought’s intelligence network.
  • Lex gave Solomon a file on Supes, and Solomon read about Chato Santana, the former gang leader known as Vengeance Demon, who was imprisoned at Belle Reve.

Ch. 353Lex Luthor's conspiracy!

Solomon reviewed files on several supes and dismissed the authorities’ plans for a super team. After Solomon left, Lex Luthor secretly warned Martian Manhunter that he suspected Solomon was not a Kryptonian and might have staged General Zod’s arrival, then asked him to investigate.

  • Solomon read files on June Moone, Hawkman, Doctor Fate, and Cyclotron, then said he did not care what super team the authorities formed.
  • After Solomon left, J'onn entered Lex Luthor’s office to discuss a planned public relations interview.
  • J'onn sensed Lex probing his mind, but Lex secretly told him to sit down and play along rather than establish two-way telepathic communication.
  • Lex told J'onn that Solomon could wield kryptonite without weakening and possessed telepathy and spatial teleportation, which led Lex to doubt that Solomon was a Kryptonian.
  • Lex claimed Solomon had predicted General Zod’s arrival a month in advance and suspected he had orchestrated the crisis to advance his plans.
  • Lex asked J'onn to review his memories, investigate Solomon, and erase their mental exchange afterward.

Ch. 354Demigod Physiology!

Solomon used his psychic powers to control Diana and acquired demigod physiology, raising his strength and defense to level 7. He challenged Diana to a sparring match to test her strength and win her trust, while the invisible Martian Manhunter watched.

  • Martian Manhunter read Lex Luthor's memories, erased evidence of their conversation, and followed Solomon invisibly.
  • Solomon met Diana at a restaurant and secretly overpowered her mental defenses with his psychic powers.
  • Solomon acquired Diana's demigod physiology, learned that divine power could wield rule power, and reached level 7 in strength and defense.
  • Martian Manhunter sensed Solomon's psychic attack on Diana but hesitated to intervene when she appeared unaffected.
  • Solomon challenged Diana to a sparring match, and Diana accepted.

Ch. 355The formidable power of laws!

Solomon and Diana battled on an uninhabited island, where his superior physical strength initially overwhelmed her. After Diana unleashed her divine power, her artifacts gained law-based abilities that pierced his defenses and restrained him, leaving the two facing off with neither able to dominate through brute force alone.

  • Solomon and Diana left Vought Tower and began fighting on a remote island while Martian Manhunter secretly watched.
  • Solomon used his level 7 strength and durability to overpower Diana in hand-to-hand combat and repel her attacks with her divine artifacts.
  • Diana unleashed her divine power, allowing the Sword of Hephaestus to breach Solomon's defense and her bracelets to blast him into a mountain.
  • Solomon's Heat Vision failed to penetrate Diana's divine shield, and the Lasso of Truth restrained his arm and stopped his attack.
  • Solomon blocked Diana's sword with the lasso and kicked at her, but she released the rope and retreated before he could hit her.
  • Diana retrieved the Lasso of Truth and told Solomon that brute strength alone could not overcome the gods' power.

Ch. 356Sheer strength overcame all!

Solomon used divine power to defeat Diana in a direct fight, then revealed a distinct Rule Power born from his level 7 strength. Diana recognized that his new power belonged to the realm of rules, and Solomon concluded that any attribute reaching level 7 might produce its own Rule Power.

  • Solomon activated the divine power he had acquired and overpowered Diana, knocking away her shield and sword before pinning her to the sand.
  • Diana conceded, and Solomon helped her up before explaining that he was evolving toward godhood.
  • Diana sensed that Solomon’s golden divine power shared its origin with the Olympian Pantheon.
  • Solomon revealed a separate power he called Rule Power, which Diana sensed as pure dominance with a connection to rules.
  • Solomon explained that he had distilled the Rule of Strength from his level 7 strength attribute and suspected other level 7 attributes could also produce Rule Power.

Ch. 357The transformation from human to god!

Solomon explained how breaking past level 7 awakened rule power, then reassured Diana that her divine blood was part of her. After joking about his sunbathing-powered growth, he invited her to stand beside him and use her strength freely through Vought International.

  • Solomon told Diana that pushing physical attributes beyond level 7 produced divine rule power, and he demonstrated how his strength, energy, spirit, and defense each manifested it.
  • Diana doubted that she could increase her strength tenfold and worried that her divine power came from inherited blood, but Solomon reassured her that it was inseparable from her.
  • When Diana asked how he had become so powerful, Solomon claimed he had done it by sunbathing, making her laugh and punch his unmarked chest.
  • Solomon flew with Diana to a cliff on a deserted island, where they shared whiskey as she confided that her long life and power had made her lonely.
  • Solomon told Diana that Vought International could give them a place to protect humanity and urged her to stay with him and fight without hiding her strength.

Ch. 358Wild Winds Swept the Dark Clouds!

Solomon and Diana began a relationship after bonding over his ideals, then Solomon traveled to Kahndaq with the Martian Manhunter following him. There, Solomon tracked down Ishmael Gregor, who was secretly seeking the Crown of Sabbac and the power of the six demons.

  • Diana accepted Solomon’s ideals, and the two kissed behind his golden barrier as J’onn watched in embarrassment.
  • Solomon and Diana spent the following week together at Vought Tower while J’onn waited outside.
  • Solomon left Vought Tower and flew to Kahndaq, with J’onn following invisibly.
  • Solomon searched Kahndaq with his psychic power and located Ishmael Gregor.
  • Ishmael studied an ancient book about the Crown of Sabbac, which he hoped to find and use to restore his ancestor’s dynasty.

Ch. 359Ancient ruins!

After hearing that a collapse had exposed ancient ruins believed to belong to King Ahk-Ton, Ismael rushed to the western mountains with his Intergang squad. He found another Intergang unit blocking the entrance and confronted its leader, Hassan.

  • Ismael heard miners say a collapse had uncovered an underground palace filled with ancient inscriptions, murals, and statues.
  • Ismael seized a miner and forced him to reveal that the ruins lay near the old Devil's Rock mining area.
  • Ismael ordered his men to gather weapons and explosives, then led them in five armed vehicles toward the ruins.
  • Ismael's convoy found the entrance blocked by armed Intergang mercenaries and armored vehicles.
  • Hassan confronted Ismael and demanded to know why he had entered the western mountain sector.

Ch. 360Entering the ruins!

Ishmael negotiated a share of the newly uncovered ruins with Hassan and entered the collapsed mine with his men. He recognized the site as part of King Ahk-Ton's palace and waited for the blocked passage to be cleared, hoping to reach the Crown of Sabbac.

  • Ishmael confronted Hassan over access to the ruins, and the two sides nearly drew their weapons.
  • Ishmael warned Hassan that other Intergang district captains would come for the ruins, and Hassan agreed to give him twenty percent in exchange for help keeping them out.
  • Hassan ordered the barricade removed, and Ishmael's squad joined his men as they entered the mountain ruins.
  • Ishmael recognized ancient Kahndaq inscriptions describing King Ahk-Ton and realized the passage belonged to the king's palace.
  • Ishmael saw mercenaries drilling through collapsed rock and learned that archaeologist Kasim Tomaz and his wife, Adrianna Tomaz, were assessing the ruins.

Ch. 361Killing Each Other!

Ishmael and Hassan tried to keep the eastern and northern districts out of the ruins, where they were searching for the Crown of Sabbac. A confrontation escalated into an armed standoff, leaving a gunfight on the verge of breaking out.

  • Hassan said the excavation could take until dawn or several days, and Ishmael secretly left armed men guarding the cave entrance.
  • The eastern district captain arrived with armed men and demanded a share of the ruins, but Ishmael and Hassan blocked the entrance.
  • The northern district captain arrived with nearly a hundred mercenaries and joined forces with the eastern district, putting Ishmael and Hassan under pressure.
  • The eastern district captain suggested entering the ruins only to look, but Ishmael warned Hassan that he could not be trusted.
  • The eastern district captain taunted Hassan into pointing his gun at him, and Ishmael forced Hassan's gun upward as it fired beside the captain's ear.
  • The eastern district captain ordered his men to attack, and both sides raised their weapons as a gunfight threatened to begin.

Ch. 362The passage opens!

Ismael stopped the East and North District captains from fighting by giving them part of his share, then waited through the night until the passage into the Ancient Kahndaq ruins opened. Inside, Adrianna Tomaz translated an inscription about humanity’s aptitude for magic and susceptibility to darkness, which Hassan mocked.

  • Ismael offered the East and North District captains ten percent of his share, and they withdrew with their men.
  • Ismael waited as his men dug through the night while Hassan fell asleep nearby.
  • A subordinate announced that the passage was open, and Ismael led his men toward the entrance.
  • Hassan’s men blocked Ismael from entering until Hassan arrived, and they later escorted Adrianna Tomaz into the ruins.
  • Adrianna translated the ancient inscription, and Hassan laughed at its claims about magic.

Ch. 363The Crown of Sabbac!

Adrianna and Ismael’s group found the tomb of Teth-Adam and the Crown of Sabbac, while Adrianna warned that the crown’s power must remain buried. Ismael confirmed the crown was genuine and realized he needed to die by divine power to claim its power.

  • Adrianna translated an inscription saying the ultimate power had been hidden on Earth, and she feared Intergang would obtain the Crown of Sabbac.
  • Adrianna warned the group to turn back at forbidden ground, but Hassan threatened her and forced her onward.
  • Adrianna identified the site as Teth-Adam’s tomb, while Ismael dismissed Teth-Adam as a thug and continued into the burial chamber.
  • Ismael and Hassan saw the Crown of Sabbac hovering in the chamber, and Hassan ordered a lackey to retrieve it.
  • Hassan complained that the crown looked like scrap metal, but Ismael found hidden inscriptions confirming it was genuine and realized he had to die by divine power to claim its power.

Ch. 364Teth-Adam!

Adrianna recited the spell that released Teth-Adam from the tomb, while the ancient Wizard Shazam sensed his return but was too weak to stop him. Teth-Adam killed an Intergang mercenary with lightning as Ismael escaped with the Crown of Sabbac.

  • Adrianna recited the inscription and shouted “Shazam,” summoning a bolt of lightning that blasted the tomb and released Teth-Adam.
  • The Wizard Shazam sensed Teth-Adam’s awakening and realized he was too old to stop him, so he resolved to find a new inheritor of the Power of the Six Gods.
  • Ismael seized the Crown of Sabbac and hid in the shadows while Hassan ordered an underling to approach Teth-Adam.
  • Teth-Adam crossed the chamber in an instant, seized the underling, and burned him to a skeleton with azure lightning.

Ch. 365Slaughter!

Teth-Adam slaughtered Hassan, Ismael, and the Intergang mercenaries in the underground tomb before escaping to the surface. He destroyed the ruin and emerged in the camp, where more armed forces opened fire on him.

  • Hassan ordered his men to fire at Teth-Adam, but the bullets could not injure him.
  • Teth-Adam killed a machine gunner, caught a grenade, and unleashed lightning that annihilated the mercenaries and Ismael, leaving the Crown of Sabbac behind.
  • Teth-Adam lifted Hassan and smashed him into the ground, killing Intergang’s ruler in Kahndaq’s West District.
  • Teth-Adam flew through the tomb’s ceiling, buried the ruin and the Crown of Sabbac in darkness with lightning, and crashed into the surface camp.
  • Intergang elites and other troops saw Teth-Adam and opened fire with guns and RPG launchers.

Ch. 366Sabbac!

Teth-Adam massacred mercenaries in Kahndaq, prompting Doctor Fate to alert Hawkman that Adam was losing control. Ismael became Sabbac, and the old Wizard Shazam began summoning a young boy as a successor before the new threat could destroy the world.

  • Teth-Adam slaughtered the mercenaries with lightning and flew away from the ruins.
  • Doctor Fate saw the destruction and warned Hawkman that they needed to find and stop Teth-Adam.
  • In Hell, Ismael accepted the six demons' power and declared himself Sabbac, who then reformed in the mortal world and blasted into the sky.
  • The old Wizard Shazam sensed Sabbac's arrival and feared the combined danger posed by him and Teth-Adam.
  • The old Wizard identified a resilient ten-year-old boy in a US city as the best successor and sent golden magic toward him.

Ch. 367Billy Batson!

Ten-year-old Billy Batson was transported to the Rock of Eternity, where Wizard Shazam told him the history of the Seven Deadly Sins and chose him as the world’s last hope. The chapter ended with Shazam ordering Billy to place his hand on the Staff.

  • Billy Batson fled his foster home and entered an alley that transformed into a corridor leading underground.
  • Billy reached the Rock of Eternity, where he saw the Seven Deadly Sins’ statues and the sealed Demon’s Eye.
  • Wizard Shazam introduced himself as the last guardian of the Rock of Eternity and explained that a previous successor had unleashed the Seven Deadly Sins.

  • Shazam struck his Staff against the floor and ordered Billy to place his hand on it.

Ch. 368Shazam!

The Wizard Shazam forced Billy Batson to accept his power, transforming the frightened boy into a superpowered adult. Billy fled the Rock of Eternity after the Wizard died, and a bald man returned there through a mysterious door ten minutes later.

  • Billy recoiled from the Wizard Shazam’s offer until the Wizard threatened him and ordered him to say his name.
  • Billy grabbed the Staff and said “Shazam,” triggering divine lightning that transformed him and granted him the powers of six gods.
  • The dying Wizard gave Billy the Staff and told him that Kahndaq needed his help before crumbling into ashes.
  • Billy panicked, dropped the Staff, and wished himself out of the Rock of Eternity.
  • Ten minutes later, a bald man in a trench coat entered the hall through a mysterious door and celebrated his return after twenty years.

Ch. 369The Seven Deadly Sins!

  • Sivana reopened the portal to the Rock of Eternity and seized the Demon's Eye after finding the Wizard dead.
  • The Seven Deadly Sins escaped their statues and merged into the Demon's Eye, which fused with Sivana's right eye.
  • Sivana left the Rock of Eternity, intending to take revenge on his father and older brother before hunting Billy Batson.
  • A news broadcast showed Black Adam and Sabbac fighting in Kahndaq, and Sivana recognized the lightning bolt emblem.
  • The Seven Deadly Sins identified Black Adam as Teth-Adam and urged Sivana to find and kill Billy Batson before challenging Teth-Adam or Sabbac.

Ch. 370The Justice Society takes action!

Sabbac flew toward the ruins of the Ancient Kahndaq Palace to claim the throne and open a rift to hell, while Teth-Adam confronted memories of his son Hurut. Doctor Fate and Hawkman intercepted Teth-Adam to prevent him from fighting Sabbac, and their attack left him bound in golden chains.
