"Morgana, prepare to die!"
Her figure left a silver afterimage in the air as her Flame Sword slashed diagonally downward, wreathed in dazzling golden light.
Yan and Leng immediately followed, the three of them forming a triangle as they attacked from three directions at once.
Surrounded by the three, Morgana remained motionless, not even bothering to rein in the languid curve of her lips.
She raised her hand and curled her fingers around empty air, and the Demon's Claw suddenly emerged from the void.
The left claw met A Zhui's blade precisely, sending her flying more than ten meters with a deafening clang.
The right claw slammed down toward Leng's face, forcing her to hold her sword horizontally to block. The tremendous force drove her down several meters before she steadied herself.
Meanwhile, the tip of Yan's sword had already come within two feet of Morgana.
Seeing this, Morgana raised her right hand and condensed a ball of energy the size of a basketball.
Then, without dodging, she met Yan's blade head-on.
Bang!
The tip of the Flame Sword collided directly with the energy ball, erupting in a ring of dazzling purple-gold light.
A shock wave spread outward from their point of contact, sweeping away all the clouds within dozens of meters.
Yan's body shuddered violently, and the web of her sword hand went numb from the impact.
Gritting her teeth, she pushed her sword another half inch forward, but Morgana's right hand held the energy ball steady, not budging an inch.
"Little bitch, your sword still isn't fast enough."
Morgana tilted her head at her, condescending mockery on her face beneath its smoky makeup.
Before Yan could react, the two Demon's Claws abruptly changed direction in midair and converged on her from both sides.
At that critical instant, her vision blurred.
An immense, invisible surge of computational power instantly enveloped her body, pulling her away in the final second before the Demon's Claws closed.
The next second, she felt a strong arm wrap securely around her waist. Half cradled in its hold, she rose into the air and came to rest on a cloud more than ten meters away.
Yan blinked. Only when her vision focused did she recognize the face looking down at her.
Qin Feng?
He held her waist with one arm, his other hand tucked into his pocket. His pitch-black wings spread in the sunlight as he hovered above the clouds.
He looked down at her with a faint, lazy smile.
A blush rose uncontrollably to Yan's cheeks.
She hurriedly struggled free of his embrace.
Once she had steadied herself, she instinctively straightened her windblown hem and cleared her throat, trying to sound normal. "What are you doing here?"
Leng and A Zhui also came over.
Leng looked Qin Feng up and down, then glanced around, raising her brows slightly.
"Qin Feng, why are you alone? Where's Zhi Xin? I clearly sent her a message through the angel network asking her to come help."
Qin Feng smiled and waved a hand.
"Zhi Xin has something else to take care of and can't get away. So I came myself."
Hearing this, Yan's heart skipped a beat.
She stared at Qin Feng for two seconds, and certain rather inappropriate images involuntarily surfaced in her mind.
Could this guy have already done it?
They say the first time really hurts. Some people can't even get out of bed afterward.
Was that why Zhi Xin hadn't come?
The more she thought about it, the hotter her face felt, and she hurriedly shook those jumbled thoughts out of her head.
But before she could ask, a languid voice with a hint of scrutiny came from ahead.
"You're the second Galaxy Power?"
Morgana withdrew the Demon's Claws, her dark purple eyes gleaming with the distinctive light of someone who had found her prey.
She looked Qin Feng up and down, the corners of her lips slowly rising.
"You're quite good-looking."
Others might not have understood, but Morgana had seen it clearly.
The computational power that had rescued Yan right under her nose was vast and precise, nothing like something a third generation super soldier could possess.
At first, she had even suspected that bitch Kaisa was secretly trying to undermine her. Only when Qin Feng appeared holding Yan did she belatedly realize she had been overthinking it.
Still, the powerful computational power backing Qin Feng alone was enough for her to conclude that he definitely had not been raised by the Super God Academy.
Those old geezers weren't capable of something on this scale.
In other words, this newly appeared Galaxy Power was completely unaffiliated!
At that thought, the gleam in Morgana's eyes grew even more fervent.
Wouldn't it be a waste not to recruit such a powerful chief-god-level fighter as a subordinate?
Morgana hated wasting things more than anything. She always ate every last grain of rice in her bowl.
Now a juicy piece of meat lay right before her. Letting it get away would be unforgivable.
Just then, Qin Feng also turned his head toward Morgana.
Meeting that burning gaze, his mouth twitched.
"Could you stop staring at me? I'm afraid you'll start drooling if you keep it up."
At those words, Yan immediately stepped half a pace in front of Qin Feng, blocking Morgana's view with her body, her golden eyes openly wary.
With her view blocked, Morgana pursed her lips in displeasure.
"Don't you angels already have a Galaxy Power? You're still going to compete with your queen?"
"Morgana, give it up."
Yan's voice was cold and hard. "Galaxy Power belongs to the angels. We won't let you take him away."
"That remains to be seen."
Morgana smiled and folded her arms across her chest, her bearing relaxed.
Her gaze passed over Yan's shoulder and settled on Qin Feng's face with interest.
In her view, even with the support of an unknown Celestial Computer, Qin Feng was, at most, a third generation super soldier.
She, on the other hand, possessed a genuine fourth generation divine body.
Even with only the Little Clock at her disposal, taking down Qin Feng and the other three would be child's play.
Once that happened, wouldn't she have the final say in how to handle this unaffiliated Galaxy Power?
Yan had clearly realized this too.
She turned her head and whispered to Qin Feng, "You shouldn't have come. She's already upgraded to a fourth generation divine body. The four of us are no match for her. Once the fighting starts, find a chance to escape. We'll cover you."
"Escape?"
Qin Feng looked at her, a hint of amusement at his lips. "That word isn't in my dictionary."
"If the few of us can't beat her, we'll just bring in more people!"
As soon as he finished speaking, a dense shadow abruptly shrouded the clouds beneath his feet.
Centered on his body, the shadow rapidly spread in every direction, as though a layer of ink had been splashed across the sea of clouds out of nowhere.
Then countless pairs of crimson eyes lit up within the shadows.
The next second, hundreds upon thousands of Night Bat Corps soldiers surged out of the shadows, scrambling to be first!
Lean and agile, their bodies were covered in dark scales, with batlike membranous wings growing from their backs and sharp claws extending from their fingertips. They spread through the air in a black tide that blotted out the sky and sun.
