Yan's voice dropped, carrying a teeth-gritting edge. "You're such a womanizer, yet you're impossible to forget."
She paused, then suddenly curved her lips, a decisive light surging in her golden eyes.
It was the sharpness of someone who had fixed on her prey and would not stop until she got what she wanted.
"But you were right about one thing. Sometimes, timing matters more than feelings."
"And right now, it's my moment!"
Before Qin Feng could ponder what she meant, Yan had already stood up and taken a step toward him.
Lightning flashed in her eyes, and a thundercloud silently surged out of thin air, completely enveloping their beach chair and several meters of space around it.
Fine streaks of lightning churned along the cloud's edges, but inside, it was as quiet as another world. Only blue arcs leaped silently through the air, casting their outlines alternately into light and shadow.
Yan pounced straight onto Qin Feng.
"Yan, what are you trying to do?"
Qin Feng raised his head and met the face mere inches from his own. Her long golden hair fell beside his ears, and her breath brushed his face, carrying the saltiness of seawater.
"Hehe."
Yan tilted her head, her golden eyes blazing in the lightning. "As the old saying goes, bad women get everything!"
With that, she pressed herself down onto him.
Outside the thundercloud, in the shallows.
Zhi Xin was cupping a handful of seawater, about to splash Leng, when the commotion from the beach suddenly caught her attention.
She stopped and rose onto her tiptoes to peer in that direction. All she could see was a thundercloud enveloping the spot where Qin Feng had been lying, with faint flashes of lightning inside. She could not make out what was happening within
