• Lian Youming returned home for New Year's Eve, and the Junk King warned him about the dangers of using himself as bait and gave him training advice and old medicine prescriptions.
• Lian Youming helped protect Yan Lingyun's family from armed men, then brought her to meet the Junk King, who invited her to study medicine on Zhongnan Mountain.

Lian Youming traveled south with Yan Lingyun, fought Taiji Gate and Green Gang foes, and began university while preparing to challenge the Taiji Gate. After rescuing Zhu Yuan from kidnappers, he learned Zhang Asi was tied to a wider plot and hurried back down the mountain to pursue what he had remembered.

• Lian Youming fought beside the Mountain-Guarding Old Man in the Logging Camp cellar, then watched him die after teaching him Yang-style Taiji Fist.
• Lian Youming returned home, became Junk King’s formal disciple, and traveled with Yan Lingyun and her siblings toward Wuzhou and Guangzhou.
• Lian Youming rescued Father Yan from Taiji Gate experts, killed their leader, and warned the survivors to leave the Yan family alone.
• Lian Youming used Junk King’s Dragon Head Token to claim authority over Green Gang elders, then traveled to Guangzhou with Yan Lingyun and defeated Sun Qiusheng.

Disguised as Liu Wudi, he crossed into Hong Kong, killed Song Wan, and began attacking the northern district while seeking Gan Xuantong and the Hongmen leaders.

• Lian Youming defeated Peng Bubai and Liu Ruotong, while the Taiji Gate’s other Grand Boxers were driven off or fled and Zhu Wu was left critically wounded by Gan Xuantong.
• Lian Youming returned to Guangzhou, agreed to teach at Wu Jiu’s Baji school, received Gall-Illuminating from Yang Lian, and learned of a vanished old man linked to the deaths of eighteen gang members.
• Lian Youming and Yang Shuang met Gan Xuantong and the Hongmen group on a fishing boat, where Lian fought off their attackers and helped Yang Shuang escape before she left for Hong Kong.
• Zhu Wu revealed that the Walled City’s bosses were committing crimes and colluding with the Japanese, and Lian Youming learned that Xue Hen had killed three Grand Boxers in Hong Kong.
• After Yang Shuang was badly wounded and Master Zhou lost an arm, Lian Youming prepared to go to Hong Kong, arranged a disguise and a stand-in, and asked Yang Lian to watch over Yan Lingyun.
• Lian Youming entered the Walled City disguised as Liu Wudi, killed Song Wan in a punch-for-punch challenge, and evaded Kawashima Mai after she threatened the Green Gang with a young girl.

Lian Youming fought Gan Xuantong and the old monster, reaching Great Completion of Hua Jin before leaving the Walled City to continue training and pursue his theories. He returned to Guangzhou, reunited with Yan Lingyun, and brought her betrothal gifts as they prepared for their wedding.

• Lian Youming killed Zhao Laojiu, escaped the collapsing building, and joined Boss Chen, who offered to teach him Bagua Palm and told him Yang Shuang planned to challenge Gu Chan.
• Lian Youming studied Wang Wu’s manuscripts, practiced through the night, and helped prepare with Yang Shuang and the other martial artists as the White Lotus Sect Master joined their alliance.
• Lian Youming led the Green Gang into battle against the North District, killed Red Hair and her allies, then challenged Gan Xuantong as Liu Wudi.

• After hearing Yang Qing’s account of the Post-Martial Arts Era, Lian Youming left the Walled City to train and investigate his theories, learned Crane-Step Ascending to Heaven from Boss Chen, and invited Wu Jiu to travel with him to Wuzhou.
• Lian Youming arrived at Yan Medical Hall with his betrothal gifts, reunited with Yan Lingyun, massaged her legs with Hua Jin, and went to sleep holding her.
