Lian Youming and the White Lotus Sect Master survived their battle with Gu Feiyan and a host of pursuers, then uncovered clues to Gan Danran’s legacy and a history of ancient catastrophes. The arc left Lian Youming reunited with his allies and searching old records for evidence of powerful beings and past disasters.

• Lian Youming and Gu Feiyan fought the White Lotus Sect Master through a series of reincarnation illusions, then joined forces against her before Gu Feiyan turned on Lian Youming and was defeated.
• Lian Youming rescued the injured White Lotus Sect Master from old-era martial artists and escaped with her to Mount Kailash, where they found Gan Danran’s broken stele.
• The White Lotus Sect Master lured their pursuers into a battle and was badly wounded, while Lian Youming used the Three Teachings Token to stall the survivors until White Bone Daoist arrived.
• Lian Youming and the White Lotus Sect Master shared thoughts and perceptions as they fought Mangus and the other attackers, then survived the battle and learned the Mystic Connection Old Monster remained a threat.

Lian Youming followed Gu Xuantong’s White Lotus Sect forces into Four-Nine City, where rival fighters clashed over Chen Baihu and the secrets of Heavenly Dipper Strength. After Hong Tiangui overwhelmed the defenders, Lian Youming pierced his right eye with Chen Babai’s spear as Heavenly Dipper Strength surged through him.

• Lian Youming traveled to Shanghai with Yan Lingyun and their son for Qin Hongxiu’s wedding, then helped Yang Weidong uncover his master’s murder and the Jade Plaque naming Gu Xuantong.
• After Lian Youming confronted Gu Xuantong, the former White Lotus Sect Master gathered rival sects and led them toward Four-Nine City to kill Chen Baihu.
• Gu Xuantong led Lian Youming and his followers into the Forbidden City, where Lian Youming fled from the group and fought through pursuing martial artists to reach the battles around Chen Baihu.
• Lian Youming joined Yang Shuang and Xu Baishi against the White Lotus Sect fighters, then helped kill or drive off the Miracle Drug-enhanced attackers while Gongyang Ming protected Li Yinhuan.
• Hong Tiangui appeared and defeated or wounded Yu Feishuang, Yang Shuang, Xu Baishi, and other fighters as Lian Youming, Chen Babai, Gong Wuer, and Situ Wudi tried to stop him.

• Lian Youming took Chen Babai’s iron spear and pierced Hong Tiangui’s right eye with the Cold Returning Horse as Heavenly Dipper Strength surged through him.

After Hong Tiangui’s death, Lian Youming was crippled by a surprise attack but gradually regained his strength and led an alliance against the Mystic Connection Old Monsters. He killed Old Monster Huang, learned that a larger force was heading for Changbai Mountain, and prepared the martial schools for an even greater threat as the Gan Family Ancestor emerged.

• Lian Youming and the wounded fighters joined forces against Hong Tiangui, and Yang Shuang’s shot gave Lian Youming the opening to kill him with his spear.
• A concealed attacker struck Lian Youming in the Forbidden City, but the Immortal-Slaying Flying Dagger intercepted the blow before Chen Baihu drove off the attackers.
• Lian Youming woke in the hospital unable to move, then began recovering through treatment and training as sound helped restore movement in his right hand.
• Lian Youming secretly reunited with Youying, learned of the threats gathering in the south, and planned to lure the Mystic Connection Old Monsters into battle.
• Lian Youming and Situ Wudi led their allies north, where they fought Old Monster Huang while Old Master Li and Senior Hao confronted another enemy.
• Lian Youming and his companions killed Old Monster Huang, while Senior Hao died in the other battle and Old Master Li reached Mystic Connection.
• A captured enemy revealed that a large force was heading to Changbai Mountain, and Old Master Li carried Senior Hao’s body north as Lian Youming returned to organize the martial factions.
• Lian Youming urged the schools to unite against the Mystic Connection Calamity, while the Gan Family Ancestor emerged from a grave and set out to meet Chen Baihu.

Lian Youming united the southern martial factions as the Riverland Society and led them into battle against the forces threatening Wudang. After surviving the fighting and uncovering a strange sword at Nanyan Palace, he followed Gu Feiyan's group to Mount Lu in pursuit of the Sword Immortal Inheritance.

• Lian Youming brought Huo Diange, Fu Jianqiu, and Huang San together with the southern martial factions, founded the Riverland Society, and swore an alliance against the coming threat.
• After Yan Beitong sent Yan Lingyun and the children home, Lian Youming faced Gan Yu's challengers at Foshan and later killed Gan Yu on the road to Wudang.
• Lian Youming gathered allies to confront the attackers at Wudang, exposed infiltrators, and led a force up the mountain as the fighting spread through the forest.
• Lian Youming fought through Ma Laosi's forces with his companions, then drew Ma Laosi and a cloaked woman away before killing them in a stone cave and suffering severe injuries.
• Lian Youming returned to the Golden Summit, found Xie Ruomei's letter saying the Daoists had been freed, and discovered a hidden wooden sword in Nanyan Palace.
• Lian Youming followed Gu Feiyan's group toward Mount Lu, where he watched Mangus, Nalan Wushe, White Bone Daoist, and Gu Chan enter the mountain in search of the inheritance.
