The Thousand Mountains Great Continent.
This was the most distinctive continent in the Wilderness of the Heavenly Capital, composed of hundreds upon thousands of mountain islands, large and small, scattered across the sea.
Some towered so high that their tops vanished from sight, while others were so low that only a few greenish rocks showed above the water.
Between the mountains lay connecting shoals or separating ocean trenches. They stood close together, yet each remained independent.
Seen from afar, they stretched on without end, like a thousand mountains upon the sea, hence the name.
Because of the terrain, many of the demons living on the Thousand Mountains Great Continent were land-dwelling creatures that could not swim.
Mountain apes, elk, and their like had lived on these mountain islands for generations and found nothing inconvenient about it.
For demons that could not yet fly but needed to cross the sea, other demons provided a dedicated ferry service. Over time, many fixed shipping routes had opened between the islands.
On this day, a demon honor guard was leaving the Thousand Mountains Great Continent.
The carriage traveled unhurriedly across the water, parting two trails of white waves.
Any sharp-eyed demon would naturally have recognized it as the procession of Lingsi, princess of the Sea Kingdom.
At that moment, Lingsi sat behind the curtains of her carriage.
She propped her chin on one hand, a trace of worry between her brows.
She had toured the Thousand Mountains Great Continent for quite some time, yet had found no sign of either the Mirage Lord or Song Yan.
But thinking about it, that was only natural.
How could the grotto-heaven inhabited by someone like the Mirage Lord be found so casually?
Still, continuing to wander aimlessly like this would probably waste a great deal of time.
