• Song Yan escorted Xia Bo Paili to Lingwu Commandery, then crossed the Western Desert with a caravan toward the Abandoned City and learned about Luohou Abyss.
• Song Yan saved Lian Shichen and his grandfather from the Rogue Cultivator Association, killed Zhao Kui and Duan Zhongxing, and took Lian Shichen to Connecting Cloud Cliff to teach him cultivation.
• Song Yan entered Luohou Abyss, freed cultivators from Xianyin, claimed Ding Jun’s cave abode, and met Deng Su, who warned him about the danger to his Dao Foundation.

Song Yan survived the Spirit Abyss’s Yin Qi, fought its puppet guardians, and gained the Thunder Breath as a Spiritual Source while Ruan Zhi helped him explore. Their search for a way out and clues to the Immortal Tomb led them to a hidden archive, where the Black Jade Token opened a room containing a sealed Bronze Gate.

• Song Yan killed Ji Zhi and Jiang Tang’er, rescued Ying Yu, and met the puppet who called herself Xiao Zhi.
• Song Yan returned to the surface, traded treasures at the Cloud Valley Gathering, reclaimed a stolen painting from Wu Mengliu, and refined Jiafeng during years of cultivation.
• Song Yan entered the Spirit Abyss again with Deng Su, Little Butterfly, and Ying Yu, then joined Xiao Fengjing in fighting Huo Jun and True Person Qingyu.
• Deng Ruikai’s scarlet fire killed the Golden Core attackers, but Yin Qi swept through the area and trapped Song Yan until he broke free and collapsed.

Song Yan broke the Spirit Abyss’s restrictions, refined its sun and moon Spiritual Sources, and formed a first-rank Golden Core before returning to Jun Mountain. There, he exposed the mistreatment of the Dongyuan Sect disciples by defeating Zhao Zun in a duel, drawing the attention of Zhao Wang and the Enforcement Court.

• Song Yan and Ruan Zhi escaped the chamber with the ancient Jade Fold, and Song Yan later used its knowledge to plan the Heaven-and-Earth Reversal Formation.
• Two years later, Song Yan and the Heavenly Mechanism Sect cultivators set the formation in motion, helping Xu Ran True Lord defeat Deng Ruikai and collapse the Spirit Abyss’s restrictions.
• Song Yan collected the Kunwu Remnant Flame and Eye of the Ruinous Sea, then joined Ruan Zhi to explore Deng Ruikai’s lair before they parted ways.

Song Yan became Jun Mountain’s True Disciple, gained the Jade Bamboo Staff, and refined his Unmoored Boat before leading disciples to the Taiyi gathering. There he reunited with Shao Sichao, supported fellow cultivators, and explored a Sword Sect inheritance as the Clear-Talk Assembly began.

• Yu Yichan attacked Song Yan over accusations of Devil Cultivation, but Elder Pei arrived, announced Song Yan’s First-Rank Core Formation, and appointed Chu Rang acting head of the Discipline Court.
• Song Yan served a half-month retreat on Liuli Island, where he met Bao Dafu and won the White Ape Duke’s Jade Bamboo Staff after a nine-day duel.
• Song Yan returned to Jun Mountain, declined a grand public ceremony, refined the Unmoored Boat, and was formally named a True Disciple with the Daoist name Ciyu.
• Song Yan led Jun Mountain disciples toward the Taiyi gathering, invited Zhong Ali and Fengchun to join them, and arrived at Spirit Firmament Gorge as Demon Race representatives also gathered.
