As cultivators gathered for Seeking Immortals, Song Yan prepared to face the event with old allies and enemies approaching.

• Song Yan accepted Dugu Pu’s escort commission after learning that its information concerned a divine bird near the Yu Abyss, then joined Jade Flute True Lord’s group in opening the restriction around Fanghu.
• Song Yan followed the Sea Chart to Fanghu, fought a hostile spirit, and rescued Lingsi, who asked him to guide her to Ao Gui’s tomb.
• Song Yan received gifts from Ao Gui, including a dragon-shaped pendant and directions to the Returning Cloud Ruins, but Mirage sent Yin Chuan after him and Song Yan fled with Xiao He.
• Song Yan hid on Shi Zixing’s island, then boarded Yue Ting’s ship under the name Sheng Nian and helped the Luchuan Association repel Qu Yi and Dugu Yin’s Six Paths incarnations.
• Song Yan returned to Worry-Relief Pavilion, gave Zhou Jue the Great Youluo Puppet Mastery Scripture, and learned about the coming gatherings at Mount Luojia and the Banished Immortal Ruins.

Song Yan helped Xie Chan open the Mist Sea, where he confronted the Evil Karma possessing the Qilin and uncovered Tao Wen’s role in the old conflict. After the Penglai and Sea Kingdom sides began cooperating, Song Yan explored Shi Zixing’s past, advanced to the Golden Core Late Stage, and received Shi Zixing’s Body Tempering method from his Sword Spirit.

• Song Yan joined Xie Chan and Penglai’s envoys in seeking access to the Mist Sea, where Xie Chan opened passages for both Penglai and the Sea Kingdom’s demon race.
• A Qilin attacked the cultivators inside the Mist Sea, and Song Yan lured it away while strengthening the Sea Chart at Penglai’s boundary stele and rescuing Penglai remains.
• Song Yan encountered the Qilin again and learned from Tao Wen that an unknown Evil Karma controlled its corpse and had possessed Tao Wen before making him kill Ao Gui.
• The Evil Karma entered Song Yan’s body, but Song Yan used the Unmoored Boat, the Infinite Treasury Sword Case, and his Void-Viewing Sword Eye to destroy it.
• The Mist Sea dispersed, and Song Yan explained the Evil Karma to Penglai and the Sea Kingdom, who agreed to cooperate and share the Mountain-Backed Tide-Gazing Pupil Technique.
• Song Yan recovered, discovered that his eyes had developed Double Pupils, refined Three Thousand Worlds, and entered Shi Zixing’s memories in the Two-Pole Realm.
• Song Yan witnessed Shi Zixing’s past, including his friendship with Shen Lang and Qilin Ming, his attainment of Void Refinement, and his sealing of Penglai and Fanghu after returning to find them at war.

Song Yan and his companions discovered Qu Jiangzi’s Secret Hall, where Ruan Zhi challenged Gongsu Mi for its treasures and Song Yan confronted Green Sparrow, Qu Yi, and Xu Ze. Song Yan killed Qu Yi and Xu Ze, while Dugu Yin escaped Shen Er and the others after suffering grievous injuries.

• Song Yan joined Ruan Zhi and Wu Mengliu in searching for the Mohist School Secret Hall, traced clues to Floating Jade Island, and found the entrance with the group.
• Inside the Secret Hall, Ruan Zhi and Gongsu Mi competed in a battlefield contest for the treasures, but Gongsu Mi broke their peace agreement and Song Yan used Bai Qi’s Tiger Tally to defeat him.
• The Mechanism Golem revealed Qu Jiangzi’s history and showed the group his collection, where Green Sparrow attacked Ruan Zhi and Wu Mengliu while Song Yan was trapped in a starlight restriction.
• Li Lin took the Numerical Extremity Key, and Zhou Jue’s Mechanism Puppet seized the Unsolved Spiritual Resonance before escaping in Green Sparrow’s form as the Secret Hall expelled the others.
• Green Sparrow, Qu Yi, and Xu Ze confronted Song Yan outside the hall, and Song Yan awakened Primordial Chaos Undivided to strip Qu Yi of his sword intent and abilities before killing him.
• Dugu Yin arrived with his Six Paths Incarnations, and Xu Ze pursued Song Yan, after Xiao He and others tried to protect him, Song Yan summoned Mirage and killed Xu Ze.
• Mirage reclaimed the power it had given Dugu Yin, while Shen Er, Yue Ting, Jiang Yulong, and Dugu Zhang attacked him, and Dugu Yin detonated five incarnations and escaped grievously wounded.

Song Yan cultivated under the Mirage Dragon’s watch while Xiao He and Lingsi searched for him, and he ultimately entered the Sea Kingdom’s Assembly of Kings to kill Zhao. The assembly ended without choosing a new ruler, and Xie Chan was drawn into a vision connected to her ancestor Xie Tianji.

• Dugu Hao and Shi Yunhao merged their bodies to create a First-Rank Golden Core, while Song Yan woke after his escape and was captured by the Mirage Dragon.
• Xiao He set out across the sea to find Song Yan, who cultivated his Sword Intents and met Lingsi in the Sea Kingdom.
• Song Yan saved Lingsi from demon attackers, and she declared that she wanted to marry him.
• As the Assembly of Kings began, Song Yan watched from a secluded chamber before entering the arena when Zhao demanded that Lingsi’s human husband fight.
• Song Yan killed Zhao after defeating his attacks and resisting Ninth King Lang’s attempt to intervene.
• The kings suspended the assembly without choosing a new ruler, and the Mirage Dragon returned Song Yan to the valley to continue cultivating.
• Ling Jia permitted Lingsi and the Diren Tribe to travel with Tushan Yu and the Penglai cultivators to the Mirage Dragon’s grotto-heaven.
• A Straw-Cloaked Old Man identified himself as an acquaintance of Xie Tianji and drew Xie Chan into a vision of her ancestor pleading for her chance to follow the Sword Dao.
