Two completely different atmospheres filled the same room.

Raymond knelt there, having witnessed the entire process of father and son going from confrontation to reconciliation, his mind in turmoil.

Who would have thought Homelander harbored such a secret?

Looking at him blubbering like that, where was even a trace of the heroic figure he presented on-screen?

Similar thoughts rippled through Raymond's mind, spiraling out of control.

Homelander sat there in a red-eyed daze, tears already streaming down his face as he sobbed quietly, never once looking at him.

An idea stirred in Raymond's mind. He pushed with his tongue, and the rag he had held in his mouth all afternoon dropped to the floor, instantly filling that small patch of space with the stench of saliva.

He watched Homelander and, finding that the other man was not looking at him, gradually grew bolder.

Soldier Boy seemed to have forgotten about him, while Homelander was laughing and crying like an overgrown baby.

This was a rare opportunity. If he did not run now, when would he?

Raymond's earlier panic vanished, replaced by a sinister expression.

There was currently only one video in the world of Soldier Boy and Homelander fighting.

It showed Soldier Boy's first appearance in New York after his return, when he sent Homelander flying with a single punch.

Judging by how Homelander had not dared fight back after taking that punch just now, Soldier Boy had to be much stronger than him.

Homelander probably was not that powerful, either. At most, he was on Raymond's level. If Raymond caught him off guard, a one-hit kill would be no problem.

He sucked in a breath...

Why not kill Homelander... then run?

Raymond thought it over, then hurriedly shook his head.

*No, no, too dangerous. If I can't kill Homelander
