"Oh? That guy in black can really fight!" Private Angel said admiringly.
The thugs working for the bearded man only looked the part. In that short time, Butcher had already taken down several of them single-handedly.
"Fuck, if you want to die, I'll oblige!" Butcher's blood was up too, and he roared.
For a moment, his sheer ferocity actually scared several of the thugs out of approaching.
Seizing that opening, he gave a savage grin and took several sudden strides, bringing himself right in front of the bearded man.
He pulled a dagger from an inside pocket of his black trench coat and stabbed without hesitation.
Soldier Boy's brow furrowed almost imperceptibly. Something about Butcher's state seemed strange.
By rights, this guy shouldn't have been so impulsive.
Looking at the entire show, Butcher was unquestionably the most responsible leader of the Boys Squad, the embodiment of patient restraint, composure, and calm in a crisis.
Yet now, with everyone watching, he had gone for the kill without hesitation.
The bearded man held his fingers in a dainty pose, his face draining of color.
He wanted to run, but the gleaming blade gave him no chance, plunging into his flabby belly.
Blood splattered everywhere, and Butcher's face grew increasingly savage and terrifying, like an evil spirit.
"Seven... eight... nine..." Soldier Boy counted. "Shit, twelve stabs in all. Has Butcher gone mad?"
In the distance, the bearded man gradually stopped moving and lay motionless in a pool of blood.
The thugs he had hired had long since fled, scared out of their wits.
They were only doing a job for a paycheck. Hanging around with the bearded man was one thing, but they didn't dare take on someone as ruthless and unafraid of death as Butcher.
Running was the only sensible choice.
