On the top floor of Vought Tower, in Homelander's luxurious suite.

The first rays of sunlight finally slanted onto the floor and crept up a pair of red boots.

Their owner stood before a mirror, his blue eyes shining.

He stared at his reflection and suddenly said, "Fuck you."

After the curse left his mouth, Homelander frowned, seemingly thinking something over. "Pussy!"

He had spent the entire morning swearing at himself in the mirror.

It wasn't mental illness. He was deliberately imitating the way Soldier Boy spoke.

Through diligent practice, Homelander had learned most swear words and discovered that talking this way felt good.

The only drawback was that he couldn't learn Soldier Boy's look.

That air of looking down on everyone like they were fucking idiots was too hard to master.

Homelander himself hadn't yet realized that he was imitating Soldier Boy in every way.

From his behavior to his tone.

For example, when he killed Waynes last night, his thinking had been, Someone hurt my family, so I'll take care of him.

This was him learning Soldier Boy's logic for handling things.

Because he was essentially a child, and children loved imitating their parents most of all.

Just then, his ear twitched, and he turned his head slightly.

The door opened. It was Madelyn.

She had Homelander's key card and came straight in without knocking.

Madelyn took a deep breath. She hadn't seen Homelander for a whole day. Something like that would have been impossible before.

"Hey, baby, you haven't come to see me for a whole day." Madelyn put on a smile, her tone gentle.

Homelander paused. "Sorry, Madelyn. I was a little busy yesterday."

"Waynes is dead. Did you know?" Madelyn asked, despite already knowing the answer.

Without any hesitation, Homelander said in surprise, "What happened?"

"The Deep went to investigate. He told me they found some scorch marks at the scene, about the size of human eyes."

Madelyn wore a smile, her handbag hanging from her arm.

Homelander froze for a moment, with no time to curse The Deep inwardly. "All right, you might as well say it outright."

If he couldn't hide it, then he wouldn't.

Madelyn approached Homelander. "Do you know what you're doing? He was a member of the company's board."

Her tone was still gentle, with a trace of reproach.

The smile vanished from Homelander's face. "Because he insulted Soldier Boy, my father."

Madelyn's smile stiffened. She realized Homelander wasn't giving an inch.

In other words, he thought he had done nothing wrong.

Madelyn quickly reacted, softening her tone further. "Don't worry, baby. I've already arranged for someone to destroy that insignificant evidence."

At those words, Homelander's expression suddenly softened.

Madelyn loved him. She had actually cleaned up after him!

Little did he know there was no evidence at all. The fire had reached the estate's small gunpowder store, triggering an abnormal explosion that left nothing behind.

It had all been a test from Madelyn.

"Darling, thank you," Homelander said, his voice full of dependence.

Madelyn smiled slightly. "Look what I brought you."

As she spoke, she took a bottle of freshly expressed "milk" from her handbag.

Homelander's nose twitched as he instinctively activated his super sense of smell. The milky fragrance shot straight to the top of his head.

His eyes went fixed, utterly unable to look away.

"This is from this morning. If you don't think it's fresh enough..." Madelyn didn't finish.

He knew Homelander understood what those words meant.

Homelander was almost lost in it. His throat bobbed, and he reached for the bottle of milk.

Madelyn breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed Homelander still depended on her.

"Thank you, Madelyn," Homelander said softly, feeling the warmth of the bottle.

Suddenly, he snapped his head around and looked next door.

That was Soldier Boy's room. With his Super Hearing still on, Homelander heard an additional voice there-a woman's voice.

Was Dad in love?

Homelander hesitated repeatedly, but curiosity won out, and he looked over with his X-ray vision after all.

Inside the room, Soldier Boy was drinking beer with his legs crossed. A woman in black with a smoking-hot figure sat opposite him.

The atmosphere between them was strange. It didn't seem like their first meeting; there was a familiarity between old acquaintances.

Soldier Boy's languid voice rang out. "Clara, I thought you were dead."

The room fell silent for a few seconds. Then the woman smiled and said, "I should be the one saying that."

Her smile held complicated feelings, nostalgia, shock, and an almost fanatical adoration.

This was none other than Stormfront, an extreme racist who appeared in the middle-to-later stages.

"Long time no see." Soldier Boy frowned, equally nostalgic.

Homelander's brows slowly drew together.

They knew each other?

[Ding] [Key character detected: Stormfront.] [Mission issued: kill her on the spot.] [Mission reward: Exchange Points ×200]

The corner of Soldier Boy's mouth twitched. The system was so bloodthirsty, offering such a generous reward.

But he understood. In the original show, this fucking piece of shit had guided Homelander step by step into deeper depravity.

Both he and the system aimed to set Homelander straight.

Clara had always wanted to turn Homelander into a Nazi superman.

Soldier Boy was tempted, but only for a moment. He wasn't that twisted. The current Stormfront hadn't done anything yet.

"Fuck you, Benjamin," Stormfront suddenly cursed.

Next door, Homelander froze. The more he listened, the more confused he became.

Soldier Boy's eyes, however, remained fixed on Stormfront.

Long legs, fair skin-time had left few traces on her, and she was still astonishingly beautiful.

Memories churned through his mind, those messy old days seeming to unfold before his eyes.

The original owner of this body really had feelings for this woman, and they ran deep.

The problem was that the current Soldier Boy found her awkward to look at, no matter how he looked at her.

In Homelander's luxurious suite, Madelyn was saying something, but he could no longer take in a word.

His Super Hearing passed through the wall, picking up every sound next door.

All this time, Stormfront had been studying Benjamin, studying this man who had been missing for forty years.

Suddenly, she spoke. "You've changed. I know you were behind what happened at the lab. The old you wouldn't have spared a single person."

Soldier Boy took a sip of beer. "While I was frozen by the Soviet Union, I learned I had a child."

"Having a child softens a person's heart."

Next door, Homelander's hand unconsciously loosened. The bottle of "milk" fell and shattered.

Madelyn was utterly baffled. "Homelander?"

"Be quiet," Homelander said softly.

Inside the room.

Stormfront frowned. "You have a child? With whom?"

"And where have you been all these years? What do you mean, frozen by the Soviet Union?"

Soldier Boy rubbed between his brows. "Homelander. My son."

Then he recounted how Edgar had sold him to the Soviet Union.

Stormfront remained shocked for a long while before continuing, "I told you back then to kill that slippery old bastard Edgar with me."

She gritted her teeth a little. "Only people like us deserve to stand at the top of this world."

Soldier Boy narrowed his eyes.

There it was. That familiar Nazi stink.

But the next second, Stormfront's tone changed. "Darling, I've been looking for you all these years. I knew no one could kill you."

"Did you miss me?"

She sat beside Soldier Boy, and the atmosphere grew somewhat intimate.
