Soldier Boy silently praised him.

The kid had agreed so readily. Perhaps he was already learning to take responsibility for what he had done. At least he had not asked Soldier Boy to clean up his mess.

In truth, Soldier Boy did not care much about Butcher.

He could develop that connection slowly. With Kimiko now in his hands, The Boys had no way to replicate his chest blast, no matter what they did.

He might as well focus on Kimiko. Several days had passed since she had been captured and brought back, and she had been confined to Vought's apartment the entire time. She was probably furious by now.

He needed to find Kimiko's younger brother as soon as possible, reunite the siblings, then let Kimiko decide for herself where she wanted to go. If she was willing to stay at Vought and work for him, all the better.

A supe with such an absurd regeneration ability would be just right for filling a spot on the second Seven.

"Excuse me, gentlemen."

Ashley approached the two of them with light steps. Her tone was respectful, but a trace of barely contained excitement lurked in her expression.

"Sir, there's someone I'd very much like to recommend to you."

Homelander turned around, still smiling. "Who would you like to recommend?"

For some reason, Ashley felt a chill down her back. "A candidate for the new member of The Seven."

"I've found someone very suitable. He can take The Deep's place."

With that, she looked at Homelander expectantly.

The smile on Homelander's face did not change in the slightest. "Really? That's wonderful."

Ashley nodded. "Yes, he's waiting for us in the training area."

Homelander exclaimed, "Wow, then hurry up and take me to see him."
