Deep in the Dark Green Battlefield on the Mardum Continent, only one minute into the clash between lightning-laced black vines and the blue-skinned high-ranking Demon King, Senxia had already fallen into a completely losing position.

Mephisto's ten claws were blocked by the tough vines, but the Skull of the Man'ari swiftly circled the wall of vines. Under its evil master's control, it slammed a powerful blast of dark magic squarely into Senxia's chest, sending the unprepared Black Demon King flying. When he landed, he smashed several cracks into the rocky mountain behind him. Rocks rained down as though an earthquake had struck. He landed right between Bard and Tony, and the three immediately tumbled into a sorry heap.
Senxia's vision went black from the heavy blow. He opened his mouth and spat out blood mixed with fragments of his internal organs. The gap was far too great.
Even empowered by lightning, he was still somewhat lacking against an opponent on Mephisto's level. More importantly, Senxia's foundations were terrible. He had not even managed to fully bring out the effects of Thunder Empowerment. In other words, he should have been able to hold out for at least five minutes.
But none of that mattered now. Seeing even Senxia, their strongest fighter, knocked out in one blow without so much as a chance to call the Illidari for support, Bard and Tony wailed in unison. Not from pain, but because... they had lost their gamble!
