Draenor World, once a shattered land, was now one of the two defensive lines of Azeroth, the Supreme Homeworld. Thanks to the Dark Portal, an almost natural rift in space, the Azeroth Federation had poured unimaginable resources into this world, covering nearly every usable inch of land with structural traction devices and forcibly reassembling the shattered continents.
The other defensive line was at Xakan. That world had now been replaced by the Altvis Empire. The first king of Xakan had died over seventeen hundred years ago, but thanks to the very good relations he had maintained with Azeroth's civilization during his reign, the Altvis Empire had been formally admitted into the fledgling Azeroth Federation after his death, becoming one of the first civilizations accepted.
Now the Xakan Civilization ruled a greater Star Sector, something utterly unimaginable to their former selves. Of course, the people of Xakan had long since come to regard themselves as part of Azeroth's civilization. To them, the Supreme Homeworld was much like their own homeland.
The reason these two places could be called defensive lines was also that they served as starports for the First and Fourth Fleets. The Second and Third Fleets were stationed on opposite sides of the Supreme Homeworld's synchronous orbit, serving as something akin to an imperial guard.
The First through Fourth Fleets were far more than the standing forces stationed in the various greater Star Sectors. They had inherited the names of the original fleets, along with their history and weight of legacy. Nor were these four fleets still the pitiful raiding forces made up of fifteen capital ships they had once been.
