Kenjaku defeated Mahito and escaped Shibuya, while Lu You and the others broke the Prison Realm and freed Satoru Gojo. Gojo greeted Lu You, then hurried upstairs to deal with the troublemaker.

After the Culling Game began across ten Japanese colonies, Lu You and Satoru Gojo coordinated a response to protect civilians and keep Kenjaku from targeting Tengen. Lu You chose to head to Sendai while the others prepared to cover the remaining colonies.

• Public knowledge of jujutsu spread, and Tokyo Jujutsu High and Kyoto Jujutsu High opened their entrance examinations to applicants across Japan.
• Lu You noticed enormous barriers rising over Tokyo, and the rules of Kenjaku's Culling Game appeared in the minds of people nearby.

Lu You reflected on Yuji Itadori’s wish to see Satoru Gojo again and the influence Gojo had on his students. In Tokyo, Gojo confronted Sukuna and began a battle between the strongest of today and the strongest in history.

• Lu You told a young government Jujutsu Sorcerer that sixty-eight-year-old Yuji Itadori would have sought out Satoru Gojo if he could return to the past.
• Satoru Gojo shielded Itadori and Higuruma from Sukuna’s attack and fought Sukuna head-on.
• Itadori and Higuruma found the injured Choso, who called Itadori his little brother, and the three withdrew from the battlefield.
• Sukuna used Domain Amplification to bypass Limitless and slam Gojo into a crater, but Gojo quickly healed and countered with Blue.
• Gojo and Sukuna, in his complete twenty-finger form, faced off as their ultimate battle began.

Jogo recalled Kenjaku’s plan and joined him in confronting Lu You, who faced Mahoraga, Uraume, and Jogo in Hiroshima Colony. Lu You cut through Uraume’s ice attack and struck Mahoraga, but the shikigami adapted and recovered as the others attacked together.

• Jogo remembered Kenjaku’s explanation that he had killed Mahito to create a new era and resolved to stop wavering over their cause.
• Kenjaku sent Mahoraga toward the city, and Lu You encountered the shikigami after it crashed down nearby.
• Kenjaku explained that he had forced Megumi Fushiguro to summon Mahoraga, then concealed his own presence from the shikigami with a Cursed Spirit.

• Lu You released Excalibur, whose blast reduced Mahoraga to dust and permanently destroyed the shikigami.
• Kenjaku fled the city on cursed spirits, but Lu You pursued him with Hrunting and forced him to land.

• Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine shattered Unlimited Void and struck Gojo with its sure-hit slash, but Gojo healed and used Sukuna’s stationary shrine to move away from the domain’s center.
• Sukuna pursued Gojo and overwhelmed his Simple Domain with Malevolent Shrine’s slashes, while Gojo endured the attacks and blasted Sukuna away with Red.
