Chapter 466: Smile
The spring sunshine was glorious!
The black hood was pulled off Tetsu no Sosuke's head.
His face was a little pale. He raised a hand to shield his eyes from the sunlight.
He squinted, then slowly opened his eyes.
"Hammer Pillar, we're here."
The Hidden member spoke softly, as though afraid of startling Tetsu no Sosuke.
Tetsu no Sosuke smiled. "Thanks for the effort."
It really had been hard work. Carrying the Hammer Pillar alone would have been one thing, but add his Sunflare Hammer, and it was a disaster.
Of course, the Hidden member couldn't say that. He smiled and turned to leave.
Tetsu no Sosuke looked up. A small village lay in the valley ahead.
Most of the people working around the village were women and children. Ubuyashiki Kagaya had clearly been preparing this place for a long time.
There were crops, fields, and plenty of poultry. Living off the land would be no problem at all.
The journey had felt just like going to Swordsmith Village. Tetsu no Sosuke had seen nothing the entire way. Each Hidden member knew only one stretch of the route, and as soon as they reached the next, someone else took over. After two days of being passed from person to person, he had finally arrived.
He followed the mountain path toward the village. Before he even reached it, he spotted a familiar face.
Shinobu Kocho sat on a large rock at the village entrance, swinging her short legs and eating something as she stared blankly at the clouds.
Seeing her, Tetsu no Sosuke couldn't help remembering what Tamayo had said.
How was he supposed to act around her?
He spent about two seconds thinking it over, then decided to act just as he always had.
