Kyojuro Rengoku's rapid progress over the past few days had also made Senjuro realize something. At last, he broke free from the constraints of so-called talent and bravely set out on his own journey.
That was what led to everything that followed.
As far as Rengoku Shinjuro was concerned, Tetsu no Sosuke was the one responsible for all of it.
And yet... the times really had changed.
The outside world was changing by the day, and the Demon Slayer Corps' way of fighting had undergone a decisive shift.
What had once been a head-on fight with real blades changed when the puppets appeared. Demon Hunters were also equipped with all kinds of small devices that could effectively suppress demons' abilities.
Combat had become much easier than before.
And Tetsu no Sosuke had a hand in all those changes, too.
"You really know how to stir things up." With that final remark, Rengoku Shinjuro shook his head. "Get some rest."
Then he turned and left.
Tetsu no Sosuke was baffled. What was with that attitude?
He shook his head and let it go. He was about to head back inside when Kiyo Terauchi came stumbling toward him from behind. "Something's wrong! The Flower Pillar... her stomach hurts!"
Tetsu no Sosuke's heart clenched, and he hurried over.
He knew little about this sort of thing. If her stomach had suddenly started hurting, did that mean the baby was coming?
He rushed to the room. Only then did he remember something and quickly told Kiyo Terauchi, "Go find that girl."
Kiyo Terauchi knew exactly whom he meant and took off running.
Tetsu no Sosuke pushed open the door and saw Kanae sitting there. She looked perfectly fine, which left him at a loss.
"Kiyo Terauchi said your stomach hurt..." Tetsu no Sosuke stared
