Flames coiled like a dragon, then plunged through the air toward Kibutsuji Muzan's hands.
The burning sensation made Muzan frown. His hands suddenly swelled, bones and tendons bulging as they stretched free of the flames. He grabbed straight for Tetsu no Sosuke.
Sosuke reversed his blade and darted back, evading Muzan's grasp. Then he surged forward and struck the enormous hand.
The instant blade met flesh, Muzan's hands crumbled piece by piece.
Flesh and blood scattered, spraying into every inch of the surrounding space.
Yet in the next instant, Muzan's hands returned to normal and closed around the blade. Flames flowed along it, washing over both their faces.
"Is that all?"
Muzan's face was expressionless. Only the faint mockery at the corner of his mouth betrayed what he thought of Sosuke.
Lumps of flesh swelled along his arms and burst. One hand after another sprouted and spread outward. He raised them, then pulled a snow-white bone blade from another arm.
He swung it down at Sosuke's head.
Sosuke's expression did not change. Breath of the Sun flowed silently through him.
Endless Years!
Time turned; radiance flashed!
The flesh wrapped around his blade burst into a spray of fragments.
He slashed across with the blade in his hand. Lightning Flash!
Muzan's arms fell from his shoulders, but new ones grew back in an instant.
His regenerative power defied description. Even the Nichirin Blade Sosuke had forged, imbued with the power of Breath of the Sun, could not slow the growth of his arms.
And now Muzan had finally escaped the trap. He moved, and in the blink of an eye, he was right in front of Sosuke.
He threw a punch.
Sosuke barely managed to turn his blade to meet it. Tremendous force tore through his body, and he flew backward!
