The Tokito Brothers stared in disbelief. How had those two ended up fighting?
Weren't they brother-in-law and sister-in-law? And now they were suddenly fighting with real blades. Were they trying to settle a score, or kill each other?
Yuichiro was more outgoing than Muichiro. Unable to hold back, he quietly asked Kanao, "Will they be okay?"
Kanao glanced at him, tossed a coin, and waited for it to land before saying calmly, "They'll be fine. This happens all the time."
Yuichiro relaxed. Then he asked, "Why did you toss a coin?"
Kanao tossed it again, waited for it to land, and chose to remain silent.
Yuichiro: "?"
But his attention soon shifted. He nudged his younger brother. "That five-foot-tall person Master mentioned... So that's..."
Muichiro didn't respond at all. Yuichiro looked over and found his brother's gaze fixed entirely on the two people fighting.
"Can you follow what they're doing?" Yuichiro watched too, but he could barely make anything out.
The two moved too fast. Apart from the occasional clash of blades, he could hardly tell what was happening.
One moment, they were right in front of him; the next, they had reached a corner of the courtyard. Fierce gusts swept through the yard from time to time. It was hard to believe two humans were fighting. Anyone who didn't know better might think a wild boar had come down from the mountain to wreak havoc.
Only then did Muichiro react. He shook his head. "Not very well."
"Then why are you watching so closely?"
"It just feels... really impressive."
Muichiro gave him an earnest smile.
Yuichiro sighed. His younger brother really did want to be a Swordsman.
*All right, then. From now on, I'll forge weapons. I'll make you the finest Nichirin Blade so you can go into battle,
