"What brings you here?" Tanjiro hurried over to Tetsu no Sosuke and bowed, his face lighting up.
"I need your help." Tetsu no Sosuke briefly explained the situation, much as he had to Urokodaki Sakonji, but added, "This is extremely important to us right now. We might even find a way to turn demons back into humans! I can't promise you anything, though. It's only the faintest spark of hope, but we want to seize it."
Tanjiro's eyes shone. After a moment's thought, he asked, "It won't hurt Nezuko, will it?"
"It's just one vial of blood. It won't hurt her," Tetsu no Sosuke said with a smile. "You can draw it yourself."
He handed Tanjiro the container he had prepared.
Tanjiro checked its size. Once he was sure it would not cause Nezuko to lose too much blood, he went inside.
Chapter 313: Forgetting
Before long, Tanjiro came back out with what Tetsu no Sosuke needed.
Only when he had it in his hands did Tetsu no Sosuke breathe a quiet sigh of relief. "This should work."
Tanjiro did not know what to say. Urokodaki Sakonji spoke up instead. "I'll prepare dinner."
"I should be going," Tetsu no Sosuke said.
"Hm?" Urokodaki Sakonji paused. "In such a hurry?"
Tetsu no Sosuke smiled. "I am."
He had never planned to stay the night. Now that he had what he came for, he needed to leave at once.
No one knew how long the mine could hold out.
Tetsu no Sosuke reckoned there would be no trouble in the short term, but he could not be certain. If he was wrong, everything they had done would be for nothing.
