By the time Lu Xiao woke up, two days had passed.

The nutrient solution in the tank had been completely absorbed by him.

At the same time, the tank door slowly opened.

The doctor stood nearby, watching him with a smile.

"You're awake? Does anything feel unusual in your body?"

"Liuguang! Think carefully. Where did you encounter the Ghost-Faced Moth?"

"But you've spent the past three months training with us at the base. You haven't gone out!"

"The only time you left the base was for the mission two days ago!"

"That doesn't make sense!"

Just then, a man in a black suit and sunglasses entered the training room.

He showed everyone his credentials.

"I'm with the Warden Investigation Group. You may call me Colonel Enzo!"

After seeing his credentials, everyone present pressed their right fists inward against their hearts.

"Colonel Enzo!"

Enzo put away his credentials, nodded, then turned to Liuguang.

"Private Liuguang! Under the Warden Regulations, you are now required to come back with me for questioning by the investigation group!"

Liuguang stared blankly at Dart.

Dart gritted his teeth, then spoke loudly.

"Reporting, Colonel! I believe there are still many unresolved questions concerning Liuguang's case!"

Hearing this, Enzo took off his sunglasses and fixed his blue eyes on Dart.

"Second Lieutenant Dart, do you know what you're saying?"

Dart stood ramrod straight, neither servile nor overbearing.

"Reporting, Colonel Enzo! I know exactly what I'm saying!"

Enzo wore a look of amusement.

Enzo smiled, pressing the gun firmly against Dart's temple.

"Second Lieutenant Dart, then you have no objection to my shooting you now, do you?"

Liuguang stepped forward at that moment.

"Colonel Enzo! I'm willing to submit to the investigation group's questioning!"

Slick tugged at Liuguang's sleeve from beside him.

"What a wise choice!"

Enzo put away his gun, then looked at Liuguang.

The training room door was pushed open.

The doctor walked in, wearing a white coat and a monocle.

Behind him followed Lu Xiao, who was looking around curiously.

The person in the photograph had blue eyes, a hooked nose, and short blond hair.

The doctor held an investigation order.

"Mr. Enzo, this is the latest investigation order. Please cooperate with our investigation!"

At these words, Enzo froze on the spot.

He took the investigation order from the doctor and read its contents, his eyes filled with disbelief.

"Motherfucker! What evidence do you have that I've been contaminated by an anomaly?"

Hearing this, the doctor stepped aside to reveal Lu Xiao behind him.

"This is a Living Contained Anomaly recently taken into our C03 Containment Facility!"

"He survived in the Dark Prison for years and is extremely sensitive to anomalous auras!"

"His detailed information has already been entered into the system!"

"For the investigation order concerning you, our superiors have assigned us to bring the S292 Containment Object along to assist with the investigation!"

"Even if I'm a suspect, the investigation group should be dispatched, rather than having you investigate me!"

With that, he took a document from inside his white coat.

The document bore the seal of the Warden Supreme Office.

"Colonel, do you have any further questions regarding this?"

Enzo could only give a cold snort in response.

With the documents the doctor possessed, C03 Containment Facility's investigation into him was both reasonable and lawful.

Those documents alone were enough to launch an emergency investigation into any Prison Warden.

Seeing that their discussion was over, Lu Xiao smiled.

First, he circled Enzo several times.

He made tutting noises as he did so.

Being stared at by Lu Xiao's dead-fish eyes made Enzo's scalp prickle.

He spoke with some impatience.

"Have you figured it out?"

Lu Xiao lifted his head and sniffed lightly, then looked at the doctor with a troubled expression.

"Doctor! It seems I don't need to lie for you!"
