Ch. 1001Emotional blackmail from the goblins

The Warden stalled the five god-level goblins, then used their demand for respect and an apology to delay negotiations over teleportation. He left them panicking after claiming he would need ample time to learn their language, even though they quickly said they had forgiven him.

  • The Warden evacuated the building’s staff by helicopter and stayed behind to handle the goblins.
  • The five god-level goblins entered the Warden’s office and one spoke at length, filling the room with a powerful stench.
  • The Warden summoned Moli'an to translate, and she explained that the goblins wanted him to learn their language as a sign of respect.
  • The Warden apologized for his lack of preparation and asked the goblins to forgive him, then said he would learn their language before discussing teleportation again.
  • The goblins panicked and said in broken Mandarin that they had already forgiven him, but the Warden insisted he could not forgive himself.

Ch. 1002Bullying Honest Goblins

The Warden stalled the Goblins and imposed a massive spending requirement before allowing them to teleport to Hell. After Moli'an killed one Goblin who threatened to transform, the remaining Goblins cleaned the building and spent enough Star Source to leave, earning humanity a fortune.

  • The Warden demanded that the Goblins spend one trillion Star Source before teleporting, then offered a ten-percent discount while keeping the teleportation fee unchanged.
  • A Goblin appealed to Moli'an, but she backed the Warden and said humanity reserved the right of final interpretation.
  • One Goblin began manifesting his Original Body, so Moli'an killed him with a beam of green light and warned the others that their entire race could be next.
  • The Warden ordered the four remaining Goblin gods and their three hundred thousand Star-level Goblins to clean the building and meet the nine-hundred-billion-Star-Source spending target.
  • The Goblins bought goods, including life-size anime body pillows, and finally spent enough to enter the teleportation passage to Hell.
  • The Warden calculated the proceeds and realized the full-price teleportation had earned humanity a fortune.

Ch. 1003The Celestial Maiden race and the Holy Maiden Spiders

The Warden learned that the Holy Maiden Spiders had once been the beautiful Celestial Maiden race, which transformed after buying an unknown gene from the Mother God Elves to survive a war with the Goblins. After Moli'an revealed her race had sold them the gene, the Warden suspected the transformation had cost the Celestial Maidens their beauty.

  • The Holy Maiden Spiders arrived after the Goblins and asked the Warden where the Goblins had been teleported, then waited through the Teleportation Gate's half-hour maintenance.
  • A Holy Maiden Spider told the Warden that the Celestial Maiden race had fought the Goblins for ten thousand years, then transformed after purchasing an unknown gene and renamed themselves the Holy Maiden Spiders.
  • The Holy Maiden Spiders paid the Warden and passed through the reopened Teleportation Gate to pursue the Goblins.
  • Moli'an told the Warden that the Mother God Elves had sold the unknown gene to the Celestial Maiden race, though she denied deliberately helping them.
  • Moli'an confirmed that the Celestial Maiden race had been very beautiful, and the Warden suspected that the gene had saved them from the Goblins but cost them their beauty.

Ch. 1004Ignorance really is terrifying

The Warden set aside thoughts of the Holy Maiden Spider and looked forward to humanity’s incoming supplies. At a Saints’ ball, Miss Olavi’s monstrous lover appeared, and a small-headed guest invoked his powerful master as tensions escalated.

  • The Warden focused on preventing humanity from sharing the Holy Maiden Spider’s fate and anticipated the first delivery of unusual supplies.
  • A masked attendant welcomed black-robed guests to the Saints’ castle in Northern Europe, while an unseen figure appeared on the courtyard wall.
  • Miss Olavi insulted a small-headed guest after he praised her dancing, and he threatened her.
  • A strange, multiheaded creature appeared upstairs, and Miss Olavi rushed to embrace it as her lover.
  • A chainsaw-wielding figure demanded permission to kill the creature, while the small-headed guest revealed a divine aura and warned the Saints about his master.
  • Miss Olavi mocked the guest for calling himself a dog.

Ch. 1005Blood Moon Demon Hunter-Fan Hexin

Bai Suoyi auctioned War Elephant at the Saints’ gathering, but a dispute over the sale escalated when Chainsaw Man threatened a bidder. The hall’s confrontation was interrupted by the arrival of Blood Moon Demon Hunter-Fan Hexin beneath a blood-red moon.

  • Bai Suoyi presented the wounded War Elephant for sale, explaining his power and inviting the guests to bid in blood crystals.
  • A soda-can-headed guest offered a hundred thousand blood crystals, and Lucilla asked Bai Suoyi not to sell War Elephant to him.
  • Chainsaw Man confronted the bidder with his running chainsaw, and the bidder challenged Bai Suoyi to honor the highest bid.
  • A servant rushed into the hall and announced that Blood Moon Demon Hunter-Fan Hexin had arrived as the moon turned blood red.

Ch. 1006Masquerade ball, playing Fan Hexin

At a masquerade ball, an unknown guest arrived disguised as Fan Hexin, startling the attendees before charming Lucilla with a compliment. After Lucilla insulted the tin-can-headed deity, he turned his anger toward the newcomer and considered confronting him, believing deities were the strongest beings currently active on the planet.

  • The guests recognized the masked figure approaching the hall as Fan Hexin, but discovered that the eerie sound came from a speaker he carried.
  • The figure denied being Fan Hexin and explained that he had dressed as him for the masquerade ball.
  • He entered the hall, complimented Lucilla, and drank a glass of champagne while she curtsied to him.
  • Lucilla mocked the tin-can-headed guest, who was confused by her hostility and grew angry.
  • The tin-can-headed guest considered attacking the Fan Hexin impersonator, reasoning that he was a deity and that the gods on the planet had gone into hiding.

Ch. 1007What Are You Risking Your Life For?

At Bai Suoyi and Lucilla’s masquerade, Tin Can Head invoked his master’s authority to demand War Elephant, but Chainsaw Man cut off his arm and Tin Can Head left with the captive. Later, guests asked Bai Suoyi why powerful figures had been appearing among the humans, fearing an attack, and he had not yet answered.

  • Tin Can Head recognized the man in a cowhide coat as someone whose combat record might be hidden and discreetly sniffed him to remember his life aura.
  • Lucilla refused to sell War Elephant and rejected Tin Can Head’s offer, but Bai Suoyi agreed to honor the highest bid after Tin Can Head invoked his master.
  • Chainsaw Man severed Tin Can Head’s arm, and Lucilla defended her husband while the guests watched Tin Can Head leave with War Elephant.
  • Bai Suoyi and Lucilla joined the ball, where guests asked Bai Suoyi why powerful human figures had been appearing and whether humans were preparing to attack them.

Ch. 1008Fan Hexin, Fan Xing

Bai Suoyi proposed that nonhumans sacrifice those hostile toward humans to buy the others time, while Sly’s staged disturbance drew attention to a hidden plan. After the ball, Sly and Fan Xing discussed War Elephant and dismantled the eerie red-carpet setup.

  • Bai Suoyi urged the nonhumans to isolate and betray those hostile toward humans so the humans would focus on them and later need time to recover.
  • The attendees praised Bai Suoyi, and the ball ended with Bai Suoyi, Lucilla, Chainsaw Man, Sly, and Fan Xing remaining in the hall.
  • Sly removed his Fan Hexin mask and told Bai Suoyi that he had improvised a scene to draw attention; Bai Suoyi said the bait had been scattered.
  • Bai Suoyi and Lucilla left, followed by Chainsaw Man, while Sly asked Fan Xing whether War Elephant would be frightened when he arrived.
  • Fan Xing said War Elephant would likely receive preferential treatment from the god because he had torn a deity apart, then snapped his fingers and made the red-carpet worms flow toward him.

Ch. 1009Gu worms

Fan Xing told Sly about his awakening, his appointment as Miao Family clan chief, and how he joined the authorities before entering the Special Emergency Squad. Sly learned that Fan Xing could not remember what happened after he signed up, and teased him about ending up with the dirty work while Bai Suoyi became a Pioneer of the New World.

  • Sly asked Fan Xing about Love Gu, and Fan Xing explained that Love Gu did not exist, though other Gu worms had similar effects.
  • Sly said he wanted Gu worms to control the powerful figures behind the scenes, but Fan Xing told him that Mr. Bai had tried and failed to control the Outsiders in the Dark Prison.
  • Sly persuaded Fan Xing to continue recounting his past, and Fan Xing said he had awakened the ability to control the Miao Family's Gu worms and was chosen as clan chief.
  • Fan Xing recalled that the clan elders sent him to join a local recruitment effort, but he could not remember what happened after he signed up.
  • Fan Xing said he later joined Northwest Base's Special Emergency Squad and met Bai Suoyi, and Sly remarked that Bai became a Pioneer of the New World while Fan Xing handled the heavy work.

Ch. 1010Angel

Fan Xing explained how Bai Suoyi had used blood crystals to strengthen his Gu Worms and described the plan to track their enemies and infiltrate the Dark Prison with War Elephant. Elsewhere, Angel named the Church’s thousand knights the Ash Knights and sent the Pope toward the Apotheosis Stairway.

  • Fan Xing told Sly that his clansmen had died in battle and that Bai Suoyi had strengthened his Gu Worms with blood crystals.
  • Fan Xing revealed that he had planted Gu Worms in the people at the gathering so he could sense their locations while they remained on the planet.
  • Sly recalled that Bai Suoyi’s plan used the banquet to distribute Trackers and send War Elephant undercover, with Gu Worms giving him strength and the ability to feign death.
  • Angel bestowed the title of Ash Knights on the Church’s thousand kneeling knights, whose armor was scorched by her burning feathers.
  • Angel told the Pope to ascend the Apotheosis Stairway, and he opened his eyes and looked up toward it.

Ch. 1011Atonement

The Pope rejected the Godhood Stairway built through the deaths of forty-three million people and began atoning for the Eden Project, while the Warden received a cosmic visitor revealed to be a Chosen One of Death. The chapter ended with three Old Ones openly present on the Present World’s life planet.

  • Thatcher Lino removed his crown and vestments, refused to ascend the Godhood Stairway, and walked away to atone for the forty-three million victims of the Eden Project.
  • The Warden returned to Chang'an City and told Augusis that the Pope had said he was atoning; they recognized that the Pope bore responsibility for a project carried out by Antie and the Warden.
  • Moli'an warned the Warden that Great Old Ones could not teleport into Hell when a group of human-wolf-like visitors arrived.
  • A chaos-shrouded Chosen One of Death asked the Warden to arrange a hotel suite, and the Warden agreed despite Moli'an's objections.
  • The other visitors were sent to Hell, while the Chosen One of Death stayed in the hotel and did not reappear.

Ch. 1012The Star System-Class Weapons Arrived

The Warden went with three Doctors to collect the Star System-class defensive weapons from the Logistics Point. After learning the weapons would deploy automatically once sent beyond the planet’s gravitational range, he arranged transport and brought phones for Augusis and the Chosen One of "Death".

  • The Warden complained to the three Doctors that the expensive weapons had arrived without anyone to install them, then traveled with them to the Logistics Point.
  • Augusis met the Warden outside the Post Office with the Chosen One of "Death," who vanished when the Warden approached.
  • The three Doctors entered the independent space through a slit cut in space to inspect the delivery.
  • One Doctor asked for an installation manual, and Augusis explained that the weapons would deploy automatically beyond the planet’s gravitational range.
  • The Warden agreed to arrange transport for the weapons and later brought the latest-model phones for Augusis and the Chosen One of "Death".

Ch. 1013They'd Picked the Wrong Fight

Augusis learned that the Chosen One had been told he would die, while Hell's water crisis drove both armies to suffer losses. When a God and more than a hundred thousand Star-level Life beings threatened the human Group Army, Zhang Chu confronted them with Thunder Magic, leaving Zhang Weidong reeling at the sight of the enemy giant.

  • The Warden brought Augusis two new phones, and Augusis explained that the Chosen One was staying beside him because he expected Augusis to die.
  • Augusis asked the Chosen One whether He had said he would definitely die, then wondered whether the warning concerned the Humanoid Race.
  • The Blood-red Setting Sun drained moisture from Hell's inhabitants, and Lu Xiao learned that the Mother Worm used the corpses of dead Zerg to produce more drought-resistant ones.
  • A God led more than a hundred thousand Star-level Life beings to the human Group Army's Base, and Zhang Weidong prepared to face them despite his army's inferior strength.
  • Zhang Chu left the command room and summoned a vast thundercloud above the Base, then faced the enemy army and its enormous giant.
  • Zhang Weidong looked at the giant, struggled to suppress the madness it provoked, and heard a thunderclap beside him.

Ch. 1014Two ways to die

Zhang Chu drove the invading army from Hell with his lightning authority, then returned to the command post and joked with Zhang Weidong about divine powers and their dangers. The chapter ended with Zhang Weidong protesting that Zhang Chu had taken his private supplies, only for Zhang Chu to call them an offering to a Daoist Lord.

  • Zhang Chu struck the enemy army with lightning, killing many Star-level Life forms and forcing the survivors to retreat.
  • A newly arrived army from the Present World witnessed Zhang Chu’s power, and he stopped his attack to avoid harming them.
  • Zhang Weidong arranged the aftermath and asked Zhang Chu whether people could cultivate into immortals.
  • Zhang Chu explained that his lightning authority was more direct than the sinister powers of Lu Xiao and the others, and Zhang Weidong said he disliked either way of dying.
  • Zhang Chu took cigarettes, sunflower seeds, and tea from Zhang Weidong’s private stash, prompting Zhang Weidong to accuse him of insubordination.
  • Zhang Chu defended the soldiers who brought the supplies by saying they had made an offering to the Daoist Lord.

Ch. 1015Ding Dan's ascension

Ding Dan ascended after consuming the Old One's flesh and gained the authority of correction, which he used to free his followers from the Tyrant's influence. He discussed the Holy City's future and Morati's magic circles before realizing he lacked information about how a Red Mailbox from the Universe Logistics Company had reached the Present World.

  • Zhang Weidong reflected on Zhang Chu's overwhelming power and considered how armies should coordinate with gods in battle.
  • Ding Dan finished eating the Old One's flesh and blood, ascended to godhood, and gained the authority of correction while freeing himself from the Tyrant's influence.
  • Ding Dan used correction to free the demons who followed him from the Tyrant's influence, and they chose to remain with him.
  • Ding Dan told Morati he no longer needed to serve him and suggested that Morati become lord of the Holy City, but Morati declined.
  • Morati explained that his father had taught him to inscribe magic circles and that Ding Dan had been the one to make them work.
  • Ding Dan wondered how the Red Mailbox, a product of the Universe Logistics Company, had reached the Present World, but concluded he lacked the information to solve the mystery.

Ch. 1016He shouldn't have died there

Ding Dan walked through the Holy City with Morati, who revealed that he had brought Mr. Hairy Bear’s recreated soul to Hell and wanted him reborn. In the Present World, an influx of thirty million visitors from over a hundred races bought out the humans’ goods, and the Warden began showing luxury cars to interested Gods.

  • Morati explained that Hell’s creatures revered Ding Dan because the Holy City had given them safety and a place to live.
  • Ding Dan agreed to accompany Morati, who took him to the Thicket and revealed Mr. Hairy Bear’s soul.
  • Morati said he had asked the Lord to recreate Mr. Hairy Bear’s soul because he felt Mr. Hairy Bear should not have died there.
  • Over a hundred races sent thirty million beings to the Planned District, forcing the Warden to let five races use the Teleportation Gate at once.
  • The visitors bought out the Planned District’s goods and Warehouse stock, earning the humans enormous amounts of Star Source.
  • The Warden gave Moli'an a sports car and displayed more models for Gods interested in ordering luxury cars.

Ch. 1017The Puppet Master of War

As the teleportation business drew more races into Hell, Lu Xiao realized the war was escalating beyond his control and might threaten the Present World. He met with Antie and the Doctor to find a response, but the chapter ended with them recognizing that any mistake could bring an unbearable cost.

  • The Warden rewarded Moli'an with one car of every model after she helped keep order and his sales flourished.
  • Zhang Chu, Nico, Dart, and Lu Xiao were called on to manage the growing crowds of races arriving in the Present World and Hell.
  • Lu Xiao warned Dart that the allied races might turn against the Zerg, then fight over qualification for the Ranking Tournament once the Swarm was defeated.
  • Lu Xiao feared the war could reach the Logistics Point and the Present World, endangering the Ninth Group Army and humanity.
  • Lu Xiao brought his concerns to Antie and the Doctor, and the three considered their options, including moving humanity out of the Solar System.

Ch. 1018Race newbie protection period

Antie planned to register humanity as a race and use its protection period to buy time for Doctor to develop technology capable of defending against future enemies. As Lu Xiao escorted Antie toward the Present World, they had to wait for Ding Dan to return, while succubi and other travelers gathered to go with them.

  • Antie proposed using the race registration protection period to keep Hell's war from reaching the Present World while humanity developed its own weapons.
  • Doctor said he was studying a stellar-class weapon from the Universe Logistics Company and intended to pursue a technological path different from Silicon-based Life's.
  • Antie and Lu Xiao agreed to buy Doctor time, then set out for the Present World through the Holy City's teleportation array.
  • Lu Xiao and Antie found that Ding Dan was absent and agreed to wait in the Holy City after inviting others at the Group Army Base to join them.
  • Futiya and more than a hundred succubi boarded the Transforming Vehicle, followed by Ivan and Niu Bo, who joked about Lu Xiao's place becoming a refuge.

Ch. 1019An angel descended into Hell

Lu Xiao relayed the Warden’s order for the Ninth Group Army to withdraw from Hell, while Angel arrived at the head of a thousand Ash Knights after completing her advancement. Angel declared Lu Xiao guilty, and he challenged her to judge him.

  • Ivan told Lu Xiao he planned to return to the Present World to spread formula-based Alchemy, and Lu Xiao did not try to stop him.
  • Lu Xiao offered Zhang Weidong the chance to withdraw the Ninth Group Army, but Zhang asked him to request more nuclear bombs instead.
  • The Warden ordered the Ninth Group Army to return to the Present World and said an army led by Angel would arrive to relieve them.
  • Lu Xiao told Zhang Weidong and Antie that Angel had become a Twelve-Winged Archangel, while the Pope had abandoned his Deification Ritual before completing it.
  • Half an hour later, Angel descended into Hell with a thousand mithril-armored Ash Knights, told Lu Xiao he was guilty, and drew his challenge.

Ch. 1020Let Me See What's Going On

Angel confronted Lu Xiao and his companions in Hell, but Antie stopped the clash before it began. Meanwhile, the Warden arranged a state-banquet dinner with Moli'an and let Li Changqing take over, leaving Lorn curious about Mother Goddess Elves and unable to find anyone else to approach.

  • Angel spread her wings and drew a flaming sword as Dart appeared beside Lu Xiao, but Antie told her that they were not enemies.
  • Zhang Chu taunted Angel, and Nico arrived ready to fight; Lu Xiao and Nico joked together until Angel flew away and the Ash Knights put away their lances.
  • The chapter explained that the Ash Knights were soul-offering puppets whose faith-powered formation grew stronger against stronger foes, with Angel determining their upper limit.
  • The Warden invited Moli'an to a state-banquet dinner, and she accused him of trying to court her.
  • The Warden let Li Changqing take over, and Li Changqing escorted a blushing Moli'an to dinner.
  • Lorn wondered whether all Mother Goddess Elves liked that sort of thing, then searched unsuccessfully for another one.
