The next day, the Mother Superior took the nuns to preach at the place where the captives were gathered.
Eren specifically ordered Flock to take some warriors along to protect the nuns. He was an intelligent Giant, and he was quick-witted enough to handle unexpected situations.
After Flock arrived with the others, he had the warriors guarding the captives divide the gathering place into several areas so the preaching could be conducted separately.
After all, there were too many captives to gather them all together for preaching. They had to be divided into separate areas.
The 700,000 captives were divided into seventy areas. Of course, even then, the preaching progressed very slowly. Eren had told the nuns to preach for three days merely to let them familiarize themselves with the work.
Eren did not think they could achieve much in those three days either. Three days was far too short, after all. He only wanted them to gain experience so they could spread the teachings more effectively after the founding of the nation.
There were ten nuns in total, including the Mother Superior. She arranged them into pairs to preach separately, with fifty Dothraki guarding each pair to ensure they came to no harm.
When Jace and the other remaining nobles heard that nuns were coming to preach, they also began considering whether they could gain anything from it.
However, although Jace heard that nuns were coming, unfortunately, his area was not among those they would visit.
Meanwhile, the Mother Superior began spreading the teachings with another nun, explaining that Eren was the Son of God chosen by the legendary Titan God, and the Titan God's incarnation in the mortal world.
The Power of the Giants that Eren possessed was a power bestowed by the god. The Dothraki would use the Power of the Giants to conquer the world. Just like the Valyrians who had risen five million years ago, the Giants would ravage the entire world as the dragons had.
Those among them who did not believe in the god would be abandoned and spurned by him. Those who were not loved by the god would ultimately regret their actions.
While the Mother Superior preached for Eren on the platform, Flock stood nearby, observing the crowd's every move. He also knew that these people whose homelands had been destroyed were filled with hatred for the Dothraki, so the captives had to be watched at all times.
As the Mother Superior delivered her impassioned speech on the platform, many in the audience looked at them with fear and timidity, but many others watched them with anger and helplessness.
During the siege, these people had seen many of those close to them killed by the Dothraki right before their eyes. Yet they had been too afraid to act and had instead survived, clinging to life.
Most of that anger was directed at the Dothraki, but some was directed at their own cowardice and helplessness, at the fact that they did not even have the courage to avenge those people.
Flock naturally saw those looks, but he did not care. As a Dothraki, he had lived on horseback since childhood and had followed the Khalasar on campaigns far and wide from a young age. He had seen far too many such looks throughout his life.
Although many in the audience kept cursing the nuns, Flock, and the others inwardly, they did not dare take any actual action. After all, those who survived as captives were people who valued their lives. If they had not feared death, they would have been killed resisting when the city fell.
The fact that they only dared glare at Flock merely made him and the others think they were even more spineless and ballless. If someone dared resist, although they would be killed, Flock and the others would express admiration for them.
Turning back to Eren, he did not attach that much importance to this preaching mission. Proselytizing was long-term work; all they were doing now was planting a seed in the captives' hearts.
Eren was now continuing the selection he had left unfinished, adding all the beautiful women with good figures to his harem. For the remaining women, he implemented his newly issued partner allocation law.
He would assign a partner to every warrior under his command. The next step was to encourage them to have more children.
The more children they had, the greater the subsidies. These people would all be a source of support for him in the future, whether they became Giants or souls after death. They were his, all of them his property. Moreover, the more descendants of his blood there were, the more people would believe in him in the future. Perhaps there was hope of becoming a god through faith.
To speed up the selection this time, Eren simply had the women enter in groups of ten. After all, the bachelors under his command were still waiting for him to assign them partners.
This seemed rather cruel to the women, but Eren had actually already ordered that the warriors must not endanger the lives of the women assigned to them, injure them, or damage their looks.
Of course, there would certainly be some violence against women who disobeyed and resisted. But Eren would know through the Coordinate who was at fault for such behavior. After all, he assigned partners so they could make babies, and anyone who obstructed that was guilty.
But with obedient women, the warriors also had to show mutual respect and affection. After all, the women assigned to them were effectively their wives. After spending enough time together and developing feelings, their lives would settle onto the right track. If a warrior beat a woman without cause, he would also be treated as guilty.
To Eren, he was the king high above them all. He treated those beneath him equally and would not favor anyone.
Of course, when it came to people whose skin was too dark, he shook his head; he could not accept them. Apart from that, however, he could accept anyone, whether their skin was yellow, white, or bronze.
After a busy day, Eren returned to his tent and thought about cooling his ardor. After all, he had spent the whole day looking at beautiful women and was rather worked up, so he needed some relief. He summoned Lydia and told her to arrange for a few women to come help him relax.
Eren had now appointed Lydia as Chamberlain, putting her in charge of his harem's affairs, because she spoke several languages, which made communication more convenient.
While Eren waited for the beauties to arrive, he sank his consciousness into the Coordinate.
Inside the Coordinate Space.
A green pillar of light extended into the sky. Eren looked at the people busy working within the Coordinate Space. They were all Dothraki who had died in battle after drinking his blood.
Eren had brought all their consciousnesses into a space called Valhalla, where he let them enjoy endless combat, fine food, and wine.
Their remaining shells, meanwhile, had been turned directly into mindless slaves by Eren, laboring in this vast, empty space.
Every time Eren came to this space, he felt it was too empty, so he had simply driven these people's shells to build him a palace within the Coordinate Space.
Construction began around the pillar of light, enclosing it so that it stood in the rear garden outside the main hall.
Only three halls of the palace complex had been completed, while the rest were still under construction. After all, whenever Giants needed to be molded, work on this project stopped, giving priority to molding Giants.
The palace was merely Eren's way of giving this stretch of sand a different view.
